No spark

High guys it's been a while: I hope all are well. I am nearly complete on two new identical CT70H builds. I removed battery. I reinstalled battery this evening and there is no spark. Battery is new, fully charged and all connections at battery are plugged in and color correct.

To test spark, I disconnected stater plug at motor and jumped stator black wire to ignition coil male at battery and had good spark.

I then did a voltage reading to the ignition key switch black wire to ignition coil female lead connector. The reading for "all three key positions" were around 5.79. I completed the build two weeks ago and have already clocked 100 miles so the bike has been fully tested and ran well till the removal of the battery.

Any tips

All the battery plug in is doing as far as spark goes is making a small loop/jumper wire as you'll see in the black wire on the battery side of the connector. Did one of the pins get pushed out of the plastic connector? You can jump the main wire harness at the battery plug in with any metal or copper wire, just hammer the ends down of your jumper wire till it fits in the plug in and you should electrical tape it so it can't ground out on any part of the frame or battery box, this is just for testing and RPM shouldn't go up much above idle as bulbs will blow since battery isn't in the circuit.

You pointed me in the right direction: I found the problem. I got my second build running today using the battery from the first build. The problem is that the blue and black wires in wrong slot in one of the connectors.

Appreciate your assistance

The brass connectors inside the plastic clip can be removed and switched to the correct place without any damage. They make special tools to unpin them or a home made one works out of a small nail or something similar. If you look into the plastic connector just above the brass pins you'll see the pin has a tab sticking up that locks on the plastic keeping it from sliding out, use your tool to push the tab down and pull the connector out the backside.
