HI All, i am trying to get my buddys 1970 ct70 running but it has a Keihin carb with a round float bowl..
the pilot jet is blocked up .
it has #36 stamped in the big dia
but i ordered a rebuild kit and it was totally wrong ( square bowl).
i have tried niche cycles but nothing on their site.
    any help is very welcome.
    cheers mark

    Welcome aboard!

I have to wonder about which carb you have. It could be from a later model, or aftermarket, making parts identification difficult if not impossible. You might have an easier time just sourcing a reproduction CT70 K0 carb. Shirebikes, or OOracing might stock them.

    thanks for the reply,
i think its from a 1978 model with a round float bowl.
i took the blocked jet to honda of houston and i was stunned when the parts guy went in the back and returned with a very similar sized jet.
    38 instead of a 36 but i took it.
    got home installed it .
and with the clutch cover still off i kicked it over and it started .
i didnt let it run because of no oil .
but i put the clutch cover back on and now it wont start again.
when i first got it i suspected low comp as was only reading 50psi ..
without the clutch cover off i got 125psi ( i thought my tester was faulty on first low reading )
any ideas why this is happening.
    thanks mark

new clutch plates and castellated tool ordered.
