I received a message from forum member Spizz on another site. He says he signed up on here in April, is an approved member, but can't post or send messages. Would one of the admins please look at his account and contact him on what he needs to do to become an active member. Thanks.

He needs to complete the registration process, by logging-in via the link that was emailed to the address he provided.

All is good gentlemen, thanks for resending the activation code. Somehow I must have deleted it originally. I kept waiting for several weeks for a code to be sent, figuring you guys are busy over here and would get to it sooner or later, but now know it was my own illiteracy that was the problem.
Special thanks to WarnerSteel for going out of his way to start this thread, much appreciated!!!!
So anyways about me: I am an avid woods racer and have been riding for 30 some years. Ive had a 76 Z50 for 26 years that Ive dragged through hell and back, at one point it even caught fire. After sitting in the corner for 20ish years, last summer I decided to pull it out and go through it. It came out great, and I had so much fun rebuilding it, that shortly after I built a Z50RD replica. Well as you guys know, no collection can be complete without a hardtail, so I aquired k1 in rough shape in boxes and its currently well on its way to completion. 2 weeks ago I scored a CT70HKO in pretty good shape in trade for a couple hours of work at a customer of mines house. That bike will be next, but needs a good cleaning before deciding to leave as is, or tear down for complete restore and paint. Im thinking tear down and paint as I really would rather have blue or green instead of topaz orange.

    Welcome aboard!

You might try mentioning to your good lady wife the advantages of a bike collection/hobby/obsession...you can't do mechanical work except while stone-cold sober and she'll always know where to find you - in the garage.

FYI, your color choices (OEM) for an HK0 are Candy Blue-green, Candy Emerald green and Candy Topaz Orange. CBG usually appears dull blue, because the OEM green pigment was highly susceptible to UV fading.

The soft tail Z50s don't get the respect of their earlier, hard tail, siblings but, they're the better bikes. They'll safely absorb trail abuse that will break a hard tail frame...and with superior rider comfort. I think you'll quickly discover that the CT70 raises the comfort & stability equation to another level altogether. Three different bikes for three different types of riding. IMHO, that's pretty good running start for any builder/collector.

Thanks guys. The wifey understands she just teases me about them. But she knows riding/racing has kept our sons at my side on weekends instead of doing some of the dumb stuff I did when I was their age.
Im not really a collector though, just an old racer that has a huge soft spot for the little Hondas. All are built to be ridden and may not be 100% correct. They are great conversation pieces at the races, and also good for getting around on when the kids are racing. Also good for bombing the local bicycle path after dark, as its curvy and great fun with 5 or 6 of us out there.
