running weak

my 1979 CT70 starts and idols ok buts runs weak and will slightly sputter und load. the other day I decreased the engine and sprayed it with the presure washer, then the next day it started and had full power, after a while it went back to running weak. It has a new carb and I replaced the intake oring because it looked damaged. any suggestions on where to start?

Check point gap and valve settings, make sure flywheel isnt rusted inside

All that water may have temporarily leasoned a carb to manifold or manifold to head leak. Upon drying it returned. While the engine is running spray wd40 around the above mentiond areas. If a change in RPM is noted you prolly have a leak.

problem solved

adjusting the points fixed my problem, I didn't think it was the points all this time, but now she runs like a champ. Thanks for the help.

Wonder if I should spray my motor with water then wd-40 then adjust my points to fix my problem?

If you lose the gap on the points quickly ,you need to lube the points cam, see how it goes

If you have some bad MOJO, VOODOO may break the spell.
