This is the last item I will buy from Trail Buddy. I purchased a S/D luggage Rack from TB. It is soooo twisted that I don't beleive that I will ever be able to mount it. It doesn't line up & is like trying to hand compress an overload spring. I called them to find out that they do not waranty Scratch & Twisted items. There goes $40 down the crapper.

Was this a brand new item or from the scratch and dent discount??? If new product I will relace it immediatly at no charge to you including all shippiing cost.. If from the scratch and dent sorry we can not that is why it is discounted and called Scratch and Dent... Stated clearly on the site "All items in this section are non-returnable and is sold as is".

You might try to remove (shorten) the stand-off a bit to allow the arm to fit properly. Maybe TB needs a new section, "Requires Modification". Scratch and Dent should be for cosmetic flaws with fit and function not affected.

Honda 191 I'm going to get in line with Old CT on this one. If fit and function are compromised and you're advertising them as scratched and dented, I think you need to take responsibility for this one and settle up. Question for you - did you mention to your supplier that he built you parts that are out of spec and don't fit on the bike? That rack should have been returned to your vendor. Did he issue you a credit for the bad ones? Is he still on your preferred supplier list?

I really did not quite understand the picture but I do now and will for sure issue you a refund or see you a brand new rack no charge.. My staff should not have put this item up for sale and I will for sure make sure items like this will never be allowed to be posted for sale.. I'm currently in China meeting with our main suppliers to discuss the quality of products to make sure only the best of the best are shipped to Trailbuddy.. Also discussing new performance parts to bring to the market.. I will be posting pictures of my visit and showing what our supplier is doing to assure the best quality products..

We received back the Rack that started this along with the one I personall took off my own bike that has been in our Showroom when I got back from my trip to China not wanting any issues for this customer with the replacement.. Both racks were received back with a note stating they did not fit welded off location and the second one was just as bad as the original we sent... Here is a video of what we found.. We didn't find any problems with either one!! How to put on a luggage rack - YouTube

Well done Mark. The video says it all.

One of the first things I learned when working on aircraft, start all attaching hardware before tightening anything down.

These guys have a booth at Vintage Days. I took a swingarm over to them I had that the rubber was really too weak to run a big motor in it. Mind you, this thing I had for like 9 months. I installed it, ran it for about 5 miles, and then took it off. I walked to the booth, told them the story...they took the swinger back...discussed options, and I walked away happy.

I also once purchased some fenders from them. They were not as nice as I would have liked...I took a Sharpie and circled all the areas that I was unsatisfied with...again, they did me right.

Yes, well done and the vid DOES say it all. You made good on this, even though you were wronged. Maybe the ad for these should mention that they are a little "spring loaded" to help eliminate any future confusion, especially for those that have never installed one before or mention the youtube vid for installation. You made a very "idiotproof" vid that should definitely help anyone.

Trailbuddy has credited me towards another product & proved that they are an upstanding company. Administrator feel free to remove this entire post if you wish.
