So Cal Riders

Hello out there. Anyone in so cal, particularly inland empire interested in group rides, let me know. I have a CT70, CL90, and a CT90, and currently do a weekly ride with my neighbor on his CT. Occasionally we're joined by a few others, but the more, the merrier. No racing, no stunts, or showing off. Just a few guys who like to putt around.

Hi Guys, I live in Chino Hills, my son in Ontario. My next door neighbor and I (both retired) do a lunch ride every Tues. We usually do 40+ miles in the Chino, Ontario, Eastvale, Rancho, Corona, Brea, sometimes Mt Baldy areas. My son works, but usually can get free on a Sat here and there. I think it would be great to set up a monthly or bi-monthly ride. Depending on who all is interested, we could meet at a centralized location and spend a few hours riding our little scoots. We could all touch base here on the forum to decide where when and who.

We ride every Tues morning around 10 am, our goal being finding a cool road and a cool place to have lunch around 15-25 miles from our homes in Chino Hills. Long Beach to Chino Hills on a weekday morning is a nasty commute. Perhaps on some weekend morning we could meet and putt, maybe on PCH. What do you ride?

I have a 140 in my CT70 as well. You may want to go with taller tires. I run 120/90-10’s, since that bike will hit 60 mph and needs all the stability it can get. I also run 18/29 gearing. I’m up for a PCH cruise, maybe we could meet in Newport and cruise to Dana Point.

What tires are you running , I just put Trailwings on . But could change those easily. Do still run the stock engine bash guard . I am trying keep as stock as I can go . This my Heathkit mini bike I built , it has a 670 V-Twin

I believe they're Cheng Shins, purchased on ebay, less than $40 each. I don't run a bash guard, my oil cooler is in its place. That's a lot of motor for not having a transmission. I believe if it's a Briggs v-twin it puts out about 16 horspower.

It has a Torque Convert 40series . Disks front back billet wheels . I bought a roller chassis . I sectioned the frame longer and higher . Added more bracing tubing , i made a slide engine mount like gokarts use for racing . It’s a harbor freight engine with a electric start .

Made some progress on engine swap . Made exhaust flange front part of header pipe . Also fab up a flange for a custom intake I make . I built the reverse cone megphone muffler to be repackable , It has 7 pc in the who deal . Still have to make a pipe mount/brace for it . It’s the same length as stock muffler .

That looks great .

I'm down for Tiddler rides, I'm in the S.G.V. and have a pickup truck I can use to carry my old Honda .

I'm off to look for a rides thread I can subscribe to :yellow70: .

We still ride every Tuesday, but we're still quite a ways away form you. We've done GMR but more often a loop near Mount Baldy. Where in the valley are you located. Maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle.

Still working away on the swap , need to fab up rear mount for muffler like this one . Then take it in for jet coating .

I know that area pretty well, used to work in Azusa and particpated in the Sierra Madre 4th of July parade. Took countless trips up 39 to go offroading in Azusa Canyon back in the day, still do the East Fork GMR to Baldy from time to time. If you're willing to meet us in the Chino area some Tues morning, you're welcome to join us,
