Does anyone have a good picture of how the cables and wires get routed for an st90? I have heard that alot of it was just however the dealer set it up, but with the cables as well as the brake signal wire and turn signal wires its getting to be kind of a mess behind the headlight.

Did the bike come with any sort of cable ties? I have the clips for the brake and speedo cable, curious how and where those clip on. Is there any zip tie for the turn signal wires?

    Any pics would help.

No original cable ties on my two ST90's and yes, it is a little crowded behind the headlight bucket. I can get you some pictures tomorrow.

    Hello Tripod,

Please see attached pictures shot from above the triple tree, down towards the back of the headlight bucket. These pictures are of my 73 model in Mighty Green and I also have a 75 in Topaz Orange. However, as far as I know, they run the cables and wiring the same. The throttle cable clip attached to the left side brush guard below and forward of the ignition key is the only specialized bracket on either bike that has survived all of the years up to my ownership of the bike today.

The small rectangular black box is my DC voltmeter. Unlike the Z50 and CT70 with their magneto-driven ignition systems, the ST90, CT90 and CL100 all have battery driven ignition systems and battery health is very important. As a friend of the ST90, you are already aware of this but all of my six volt powered bikes of this style have DC voltmeters. Keeps us from hard starting!!

Thanks. Ive never seen that clip by the ignition that supports the throttle cable. It makes sense though as i noticed it could get bit by the lower triple tree.

I just looked at the frame fiche. Part number two. Its listed as a clutch cable support. Only JDM st90's were manual clutch, but using it for the throttle cable on u.s. market makes sense. I'll keep an eye out for one.

Parts fiche lists three of these, so not really sure what else clips onto them. Its called "clip, Front brake cable" so im assuming there are three things along the front brake cable that clip to it. I'll monkey around with it tomorrow.
