Stator replacement issue

Has anyone experienced replacing the stator and the mounting holes are off? I bought a new stator and the mounting holes are off by 1/4 inch.

Your stator plate must be the Mitsubishi from a 4 speed engine??
The Mitsu coils are different than the more common Hitachi's

Need more information than that. Pictures help also. What brand, OEM? aftermarket? and seller? Year and model? Stator plate or coils?
