Looks like there are double washers on the head. Is this correct?

I thought so Dennis D.
I agree its a sweet bike but I always find myself examining every little detail on the really nice machines to see what was missed regarding a correct restore. Not to say I have even come close to this fine example with my bikes but a am looking anyway to see what others miss so I don't. Its kinda of a game for me.

I know i have seen that before, there is a o-ring that goes between the cylinder and head. If it is not put in during a rebuild you will often get a leak out of that head stud...Or the head stud is stretched badly and the acorn nut bottoms out. Have seen that too...

I do the same thing Dupa ,just for a learning experience.I am still working on my bikes detail and it never ends.I or anyone else can always find some little detail that's been overlooked and i have been over mine with a fine tooth comb .

I think thats what Ill do this spring when my HK1 is complete. Ill start a thread called
"OK Pick It Apart" with some detailed pics and let everyone have at it just to see what I missed so I can fix it.

i love the parts bag collection pic.he is going to lose money even @ 3800 buy it now.it is sweet.what scares me is the double copper washer with the acorn nut insted of the correct open nut.maybe theats why he put a double on cause it bottomed out before it was tight.wonder if the head was even torqued properly to 10 ft lbs.what else is wrong or over looked internally.the guy went crazy with the sticker pack.a minor detail, and my own mistake angle stems.i do like it alot.if you build something like this ya should plan to keep it!there's no profit in selling this bike.

Somethings not right here.If you look at one pic i beleive right after the bottom of motor pic it appears he has a regular nut on bottom right (should be on bottom left, driver side) and a acorn nut on other three.Next pic it shows acorn nuts on all four.

Still as PC stated, you can't build this bike for what he's asking if you do as good a job as this guy has done.So long as inside of motor is as good as pics make it appear.

At 3500 bucks it would be 10 times more than the original price back in the 70s. Who would of ever thought that little minibike I had then would be worth what they are going for now! I guess its the same with the classic muscle cars as well! I wish I would have had a crystal ball way back then. It will be interesting to see what this little gem finally goes for. Look for that last minute bidding.

Not me ! I'm out of checks ! You had better go get this one Mike.......

As beautiful as this bike is...It doesn't touch what you have in your collection!

I still can't get over that your combined total number of miles on all your bikes is less than what I have on my lowest mileage bike!! haha!!

Thats excluding your last EG...But still...Maybe one day I will stumble on a really nice low mileage original. I have a plan though for this winter...The guy that owned a flip house I bought was a Shriner...The Honda riding kind and he told me that old Shriners that want to sell their bikes advertise them in the Shriner newspaper. He said that he could hook me up when one became available. Around here they all ride Red KO's. I don't know about in other areas.
