B0E80B33-CDF9-4A13-B9FC-069E81556A6E.png Not a CT70question - Need to remove the tank side emblem from my CB350F. They are pressed in and have a “nut” that captures the stud as shown I googled and found a YouTube where the guy used a slotted puffy knife to wiggle them off. Anyone have any proven methods to offer before I have at it. Like my grandfather the carpenter said - measure twice, cut once

    Thanks

Jeff, I think that is the only way to get them off. I worked on the body of Ford Econolines and VW Rabbits way back when and they had the same means of securing trim pieces to the body. The sheet metal had a drilled hole in it and the piece you show is inserted in the hole, then the trim or emblem is pressed in. The stud on the trim piece is grabbed by the tangs. All I ever did was pry with a window stick (tapered nylon pictured). The putty knife should work just fine. By the way, the stick was used on window glass to coax the rubber windshield seal over the pinch weld. Now mostly all glass is glued in.
