I don't know that politics really belong in our community. In this post-truth, post-rule-of-law, divided nation era, talking politics is best used when one is hopelessly lost in the woods...state an opinion and someone will immediately show up to argue with you. I really loathe interfering with free speech, so it's been allowed. That said, there are limits and in this case it means sticking to verifiable facts, stating sources, and maintaining civility commensurate with being an adult. Translation, you open the door to a political topic and every member here has the right to present their views, under the same rules. It will be a civil, rational, conversation between intelligent adults...or not at all. Attacking members who don't happen to agree with you will not be tolerated, let alone facilitated.

The admins of this board have bent over backward to allow you continued membership here...when many others have not...despite years of repeated rule violations, of some very basic rules. How many times have you been offered helpful advice, on topics ranging from bikes, to cameras to orthopedics, like helping you to better understand that complex & detailed diagnostic report covering your recent injury? Why would I, among others here do that? It's a rhetorical question. If I have knowledge that can help someone, I'm here to share it...expecting nothing in return. I believe that you're basically a decent human being and should be accorded a basic level of dignity. I think that of everyone here; there are no second-class citizens. Your colorful eccentricities frequently push the limits but I think a number of members consider them entertaining camaraderie. And you do have a certain flair for writing, to go with your prolific postings. You've been given a wide berth and I'm a patient person. That's not the same as having no limits and make no mistake, you've reached them.

From this point forward, you're going to follow the same rules as everyone else. Second, and just as importantly, you're going to apologize to red69...in this thread...or you can get the fuck out of here.

CR- Just because you’ve never met someone with coronavirus or witnessed a nuclear blast doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Red69 in his home twice, and he is anything but what you suggest. I know him to be a loving husband, father and extremely intelligent and educated individual who doesn’t have a problem with authority. We should all work to be half as good as he is. o_O
