Also forgot to add that there's good climbing on Mt. Charleston, and it's cooler at elevation. Never been there myself, but friends of mine dug it... plus some of the "MASTERS OF STONE" videos featured Mt. Charleston.

It's truly unspoiled and truly cold! I need a real jacket. NLV never really called for a jacket, bullet proof vest was more like it... lol
I don't miss the police copters or sirens, this place is the true opposite and really majestic.
Now I see your attraction for mountain living I dig it.

Yeah, I hear ya... my home is only at 3624' elevation, but it's still high enough to escape some of the heat & humidity, and I have much taller mountains nearby, including Mt. Graham which soars above 10,000' elevation. There's an observatory up there, as the skies are so clear at night. Even here in Benson, the night sky is primo... a million stars overhead, some blazing like cosmic LEDs, 10-4? We have the occasional siren, but it's usually an ambulance transporting some poor elderly guy or gal with a medical problem... not too much crime or gang activity here, too many rednecks strapped with firearms in this open carry state, LOL. Idiot gangbangers would be used for target practice and shot to pieces, no doubt. Many folks here are into the great outdoors, there are heaps o' trails for offroading, plus dirt roads leading up into five different mountain ranges, heller technical rock climbing at Cochise Stronghold, etc., etc. When my friend brings his tricked-out Jeep here from the Midwest, we're gonna drive up into those mountain ranges and have a good time... I love being up there, not a badge-sportin' greaseball in sight, just you, your friends and the wilderness, with amazing views in just about every direction. Yeah, I sure like the mountains compared to the Big City, I don't even miss the ocean due to the overcrowding on the coast. At this stage in my life I say, "GIMME THE MOUNTAINS EVERY TIME, ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!!"

Just got my HP all in one 24 -f0010 on line and running! A nice computer!---->No more Android phone...

Yep, its been a real genuine pain in the ass Moving but I just could not hack living in the big city anymore. When your packing Heat just to walk the dog, then you know its time to split. When sirens, horns and police copters are come with the sunset, it's time to GO!--->
Your right about the mountain sky, never seen so many stars at night!

Now...I got a corner lot and its a nice single story homes in a great community.
It's a age 55+ community, so no section 8 baby mama Losers can E V E R live here. I am so done with those idiots on sec 8.

Will post some pics of the Mountain scenery later on when i get set up!
Tomorrow i get an electric dryer delivered, now I can finally wash clothes!!!, moving is one giant pain in the ass.:red70:

Tell me about it, I just donated five boxes of cr@p I no longer need to Vinny de Paul, I spent the last two days sorting through all my stuff and choosing what to keep. I'm a firm believer in recycling stuff and putting it back into circulation, particularly if it's still useful... I don't like trashing it when there's already so much waste in the world, 10-4? My philosophy stems from being poor in my youth after my dad split and took whatever money he had with him... same reason why I never waste food, starvation will do that to ya, LOL. Meh, it's all good now, my home is clean and uncluttered with just enough primo decor to make it STYLIN', yeah? The older I get, the less stuff I want or need, but I like what I have to be good quality stuff, ya know? This move is just another phase of streamlining and downsizing in certain areas, no better time to do this as I unpack boxes and ask myself, "DO I REALLY WANT OR NEED THIS???"

I'M OFF TO GRAB A COLD BEER OUTTA MY FRIDGE, I WORKED UP A THIRST GOING THROUGH ALL THAT STUFF EARLIER... KEEP ON STREAMLINING, BRO, LIFE IS BETTER WHEN IT'S UNCLUTTERED, LOL.

Just posted five rounds of pics of the ongoing home rehab project at another site, probably be easier to provide a link rather than try to post 'em all here...

    https://sailingforums.com/threads/laser-island-voyages-back-in-the-day.37631/page-8

Let's see if that works... if it does, y'all can see what I've been doing lately, and what I'll be working on for the next month, LOL.

CHEERS, YOUSE MONKEYBIKING HEROES & CRUSTY MINI DEMONS O" DIRT!!! I'M OFF TO BUY SOME BEER, WOOHOO!!!

Here are a few more pics, walked outside yesterday evening with a cold beer and saw the usual colors, nothing special or out of the ordinary, the really spectacular sunsets have much more intense colors, but this worked for me after another day of home rehab:

    IMG_8896.JPG IMG_8897.JPG IMG_8901.JPG IMG_8902.JPG IMG_8903.JPG IMG_8904.JPG

Here are some flowers in my yard, don't know what they are but they look good, LOL:

    IMG_8905.JPG IMG_8906.JPG IMG_8907.JPG

And here's Sage chillin' out atop the pool table, one of his favorite places for a nap:

Finally put my AZ Flag plate back on the car, LOL:

    IMG_8899.JPG IMG_8900.JPG

Made some kick@$$ breakfast burritos today, sauteed some sausage with fresh hot peppers & onion, folded in some diced vine-ripened tomato, dumped in a quantity of leftover BBQd steak, then threw in half a dozen eggs whipped with a bit of whole milk... added fresh cilantro salsa, sour cream and avocado, and I washed it all down with a cold Diet Pepsi. Damned DELICIOUS, LOL.

    IMG_8908.JPG IMG_8910.JPG IMG_8912.JPG

Some shots of the wet bar which I've been slowly bringing up to speed:

    IMG_8913.JPG IMG_8915.JPG IMG_8916.JPG IMG_8917.JPG IMG_8918.JPG

That vase doesn't really belong on a bar counter, but it looks cool with the tall ship and the gal waving goodbye... guess she missed the boat, LOL. :cautious::cautious::cautious:

Some more shots of my bar and the cabinet above the sink, everyday glasses to the left and fine Swedish crystal to the right, I'll bust out the Swedish numbers when I have company:

    IMG_8934.JPG IMG_8935.JPG

Hey, I saved this Chokers glass from Dago, I'll bust it out whenever I'm feeling like a loser, LOL:

    IMG_8936.JPG

"San Diego Super Chokers!!!" Hack, choke... oh, wait, they moved to Smell-A, guess that jingle is obsolete, LOL. Check out my Japanese bar tongs, I call 'em "eyeball pluckers"---if anyone gives me grief while I'm behind the bar, I'll snatch up those tongs and pluck out that jackhole's eyeballs, 10-4? This holds especially true for OLD CT, LOL. ;)

    IMG_8937.JPG IMG_8938.JPG IMG_8939.JPG

Pretty cool, aye? They work great too, LOL. Here's my retro '50s blender base, along with a more modern backup base:

    IMG_8940.JPG

Last but not least, a few photos of the Napoleonic Era artwork on my wall, this has nothing to do with the bar, but I forgot to post pics of it at the other site, where I'm headed next:

    IMG_8919.JPG IMG_8933.JPG IMG_8920.JPG

See that dude lying face-down in the snow at lower left in the picture? Moi, after too many drinks at my wet bar... missed the entire action, slept right through the battle, LOL. Alright, youse knucklehaids, time for this kid to move on to another website, just wanted youse heroes to see that I'm actually getting things done here in Benson, by God, Arizona, LOL. CHEERS, YOUSE KNUCKLEHAIDS!!!

100_0038.JPG 100_0051.JPG 100_0052.JPG Ok, as mentioned ...here's some pics of the house. This is the back of the house, on the corner by the fire hydrant. Where the dog is running will soon be all new homes *$#@:(:poop:! Crap-Ola!
From the club house to mine will be new construction....Wish they would leave it like it is,....empty & vacant. I also wish they allowed mini bikes on the green! LOL both things will never happen but it beats NLV! 100_0038.JPG 100_0051.JPG 100_0052.JPG

They do have those shops up here too, but like CR was saying...this is a big gun packing region, they are loaded for bear up here.

That's one of the first things I noticed when I moved to the region...The Mc Donalds is a twenty mile round trip and a lot of folks aren't shy to wear sidearms, makes my hanguns seem like cap pistols. It's a huge county and you could be on your own in some parts.

Dont know why the pics are so huge, havent posted in a while, Im using a way better camera than before...

"An armed society is a polite society..." Or something like that, LOL. Thomas Jefferson, I believe, the guy was a genius. I'll say this, crime is definitely lower, contrary to what the globalist trash and libtards want you to think. :cautious:

Nice mountain scenery in the background, Adam, sure beats looking at some freakin' ghetto in the Big City, LOL.

Hey, here's the forecast for Benson, Arizona: "Sunny and warm with a chance of... KITTEHS!!!"

    IMG_8967.JPG IMG_8968.JPG IMG_8969.JPG IMG_8970.JPG IMG_8971.JPG IMG_8972.JPG IMG_8973.JPG IMG_8975.JPG IMG_8977.JPG IMG_8978.JPG

Sage the ferocious gray tabby tiger, and Crackhead the snaggletoothed black panther... the other day, one of 'em dragged a dead rat into the house, a gift for me, no doubt. Fortunately, it was trash day, so the rat hitched a ride aboard the truck pronto, LOL.

Gonna hang these mermaids front & center above my bar, just as soon as I repaint the surrounding wooden board:

    IMG_8980.JPG IMG_8981.JPG IMG_8982.JPG IMG_8983.JPG IMG_8985.JPG IMG_8986.JPG IMG_8993.JPG IMG_8994.JPG IMG_8995.JPG IMG_8997.JPG

When I visited Juarez, Mexico, it was the murder capital of the entire North American continent, LOL. Bough some booze & mixers for my bar, I want my guests to have options, 10-4? I have soda & juice in the fridge too, but this will do for starters. Found some stuff I'd forgotten I had in storage, that primo sandstone desert art and my lightning ball, or plasma ball, or whatever the heck it's called, LOL. That thing is cool, you can set it for continuous action or make it noise-activated, to music or conversation. Gotta check the prices of DVD players at WallyWorld, gonna need another one for the TV in the Pool Room... I have a perfectly good one in the back room, but I don't wanna switch it back and forth, I'll leave it in place and buy another. That private movie theater in the master bedroom is radical, I was blasting "WE WERE SOLDIERS" last night, LOL. Gotta run, youse monkeybiking heroes & crusty mini demons o' dirt, gonna pull more home rehab today despite the warm weather, I wanna get that deck redone on the east side... at least it's under the broad metal awning, so I'll be in the shade, LOL.

Wind is howlin' again today, I had planned to apply a second elastomeric coat to the roof, but that's off the table for now... no worries, I still have to finish the deck on the east side, which happens to be the leeward side of my home today, so the day will not be wasted. However, I will be wasted by the time I BBQ this afternoon or evening, I'm on my way to the store right now to buy some BBQ material, so I figured I'd stop by the library to get on the Interwebs and rattle your cage, LOL. Bee-yoo-ti-ful weather here otherwise, hopefully this wind dies down before I fire up the Q... :cautious:

Gonna go to a circus this weekend, the "Culpepper & Merriweather Circus" to be held under the Big Top on Saturday, rain or shine... gotta like circus and rodeo action, even the hokey small-town numbers offer entertainment, and there might be some good-lookin' wimmin there as well, so I'm all in for a whopping $12, LOL. Better pick up a "short dog" flask o' booze to sneak into the show, that'll make the action even better, 10-4? I haven't been to a circus in years... WTF, I belong in a circus, maybe they'll offer me a JOB, aye??? Chief Clown, or Clown-In-Chief, LOL.

The circus ad in our local rag showed a tiger on a stand, maybe they'll have some big kittehs under the Big Top, center ring and all... boosts the excitement when the cats get loose and charge the audience, don'tcha know? Of course, with all those rednecks in the bleachers strapped to the absolute limit, the poor kittehs won't stand a chance, they'll be shot so full of holes they'll look like Swiss Cheese, LOL. Y'all have heard of Bengal Tigers? Well, these will be Swiss Cheese Tigers once the rednecks are done cutting loose... elephants will be toast too, killed by stray bullets, but the rednecks won't let 'em go to waste, they'll BBQ those pachyderms pronto, WAHOO!!!

ALRIGHT, KNUCKLEHAIDS, I'M OFF TO THE STORE, WHERE I HOPE TO MEET MY FUTURE EX-WIFE, SOME REDNECK GAL WITH A BIG OL' .44 ON HER HIP... SHE'LL ONLY BE MY EX AFTER I GET SHOT, LOL. ;)

Yep, a big 10-4 on that mountain wind too. I almost got blown off my feet just walking between the houses checking out the Sat dish!
I tell you what, I just got all kinds of respect for those rock climber guys... Can you imagine climbing the mountain rock in this howling wind?
Freakin Crazy. 100_0059.JPG Gotta show off my Kodak PICPRO camera has a x40 telephoto lens. Its a decent camera, my other one bit the vegas dust....

Got a treat for youse heroes... yesterday I pulled a fast recon of access to Cochise Stronghold from the north and east, and I took some pics for y'all. I also have some cool shots taken at my home, some are enhanced photos kicked out by my Canon cam in "Creative Shots" mode, let's start with those even though they were taken after the recon:

    IMG_9425.JPG IMG_9426.JPG IMG_9437.JPG IMG_9439.JPG IMG_9440.JPG IMG_9444.JPG IMG_9452.JPG IMG_9469.JPG

Pretty cool, huh? Those shots where it feels like you're aboard the Titanic as she's going down, those are definitely enhanced, I wasn't quite that drunk when I snapped the pics, LOL. I like that "Creative Shots" mode, it picks up some actual colors that the Canon cam misses in regular "Auto Mode." :cautious:
