The Three Amigos... Sage, Dixie & Wingnut!!!

I like the Val Kilmer meme, RacerX!!! Oddly enough, I can dress that way and walk around town, even cruise the aisles of WallyWorld or Safeway, and nobody will care as long as the pistol stays in its holster, lol... this being an "Open Carry" state, I love the FREEDOM, AYE??? (y)

Well, I whacked those weeds but didn't catch too many rocks, the stuff growing around the fruit trees was wet & juicy so I got SLIMED instead, with juicy green bits all over my clothes, face, etc. Reminded me of "GHOSTBUSTERS" as I finished the job, LOL.

Meh, I had to do one more laundry load anyway, I'm washing all the Mexican blankets I use around the house as tablecloths, sofa covers, etc., all part of my early spring cleaning program, so the "slimed" clothes I was wearing while whacking weeds went straight into the washer, 10-4??? :cautious:

Now I'm having a Margarita and it's a bit strong, guess I need to think about having some dinner in awhile, something to put in my belly to soak up alcohol... maybe I'll grab a quick snack, just to tide me over as I watch "KEANU" again, that's a funny flick...

I have plans for beef & bean soup later, using the last tortilla and maybe some French bread with real butter, WOOHOO!!! That bean soup mix already has big ol' chunks o' ham in it, but I'm thinking fresh ground beef stirred into the mix as it slowly simmers won't suck, LOL.

WORK TOMORROW, BUT ONLY A 4-DAY WORKWEEK, SO P!$$ ON IT... TONIGHT, I PAR-TAY & HAVE A GOOD TIME, WOOHOO!!!

CHEERS, YOUSE MONKEYBIKING HEROES & CRUSTY MINI DEMONS O' DIRT!!! YOU DA BOMB!!! :red70:

Good day at work, went by pretty fast even though I was diagnosing and repairing only one cart... another demon cart like the "38 Special" (I give every numbered cart a name, lol). This one was # 15 so I called it the "Riverside Cart"---since I-15 leads up to that $h!thole outta Dago, lol. Same way the # 5 cart was christened the "Valley Cart" because once ya get past the Grapevine, you're stuck in the San Joaquin Valley for several hundred miles, 10-4? Y'all can probably guess a few of the other cart names... :cautious:

# 22---the "Long Rifle Cart"
# 32---the "Peashooter Cart"
# 44---the "Magnum Cart"
# 45---the "Colt Cart"
# 50---the "Browning M2 Cart"

And so on... lol. WTF, ya gotta get yer entertainment somehow on the job, and cart-naming just goes with the territory. Weird numbers are hard to name: # 37 is the "Prime Number Cart" (though the young boss wanted to call it the "Optimus Prime Cart"). Y'all see how it goes, but no worries, all that really matters is that each cart is up & running by the time I'm done with it. Today's cart had a lot of problems and it threw me some excellent curves, but I prevailed in the end... a faulty micro switch in the pedal box was the culprit. o_O

ANYWAY, THAT'S ONE DAY DOWN IN A SHORT 4-DAY WEEK, NOW I'M DRINKING COLD BEER & THINKING ABOUT LEFTOVER LASAGNA WITH A FRESH SIDE SALAD AFTER I GET A BUZZ ON WHILE WATCHING MOVIES ON THE BIG SCREEN, LOL...

SAY THAT FIVE TIMES FAST, AYE???

CHEERS, FOOLIOTS!!!

Sounds like the one you worked on today has two names - push cart or go kart, depending on the state of affairs. And to go along with the 5:00 beverage cart that Racerx mentioned, there should also be an “a la cart”.

They sure as heck do, they stay out late too! I can hear drunken golfers sometimes, glad i'm not near the golf course.(y)

Here's the maintenance shop that maintains the carts & mowers, they are expanding the building this season.100_0226.JPG

Here's a Hawk on a brick wall!:eek:100_0137.JPG A bit blurry....

"IT'S HERE... NO, WAIT, IT'S OVER HERE!!!" :ROFLMAO:

IMG_7339.JPG IMG_7340.JPG IMG_7341.JPG

She's a good kitty, she & I will probably have the barn to ourselves manana, just the way we like it, lol...

And some more kitteh pics from the home front... o_O

IMG_7322.JPG IMG_7323.JPG IMG_7324.JPG IMG_7326.JPG IMG_7327.JPG IMG_7330.JPG IMG_7331.JPG IMG_7332.JPG

Crackhead & Tiger crashed out, Molly on the yellow-striped blanket, and little Phoenix... cuteness factor off the charts, lol. I guess little Phoenix isn't gonna grow much larger, she'll always be a little girl... Molly is certainly younger but she's already larger than Phoenix. They're both beautiful female cats, but Phoenix will always be my Number One Cutie, lol. Meh, they're all like my kids, and they brighten up my life with their hilarious antics... sometimes they're a PITA, but what kids aren't?

CAN'T WAIT TO SLEEP IN ON THE WEEKEND WITH MY LITTLE FRIENDS... THEY MAKE GOOD BED WARMERS, LOL.

Check out this funky pig/hippo BBQ someone made at the shop in years past:

IMG_7361.JPG IMG_7362.JPG IMG_7363.JPG IMG_7364.JPG IMG_7365.JPG IMG_7366.JPG IMG_7367.JPG

I think it's supposed to be a pig, but it looks more like a hippo to me with that big ol' snout, lol... nice heavy-duty spring or coil for the tail!

Y'ALL BE GOOD, I'M OFF TO POST MORE PICS IN ANOTHER THREAD... CHEERS!!!

Whoops, it's the same thread, lol... too many beers for Saturday brunch, 10-4? :cautious:

So, here we go with some kitteh pics for OLD CT...

IMG_7368.JPG IMG_7369.JPG IMG_7370.JPG IMG_7371.JPG IMG_7372.JPG IMG_7373.JPG IMG_7374.JPG

We gots Crackhead, Tiger & Molly here in my room, dunno where little Phoenix went, she sure likes to roam the 'hood...

MEH, THESE SHOTS WILL WORK...

Afternoon shots of the Dragoons and the Stronghold's West Side as seen from my property... those crags are 12-15 miles away, so ya know they're HUNDREDS of feet high, LOL. Beer tastes good, and I'm about to make a bad@$$ batch of my spicy-hot homemade chicken burrito mix for dinner, as well as leftover dinners this week... doesn't hurt my burrito mix to sit in the fridge for a few days, not when I'm using fresh hot peppers and other veggies, AYE? No worries about partying, I'll get a good night's sleep tonight, no staying up till 0400 to drool over bikes on the Interwebs, LOL...

Here are the pics:

IMG_7380.JPG IMG_7381.JPG IMG_7382.JPG IMG_7383.JPG

BAD@$$ CRAGS, YEAH??? AND QUALITY ROCK TOO, THEY CALL IT 'STRONGHOLD GRANITE' AND MUCH OF IT IS SUPERB FOR CLIMBING PURPOSES... SOLID HOLDS & KICK@$$ VIEWS, LOL.

Still working on the bike deal, we'll see what happens... I'm enjoying a few cold beers after work (TGIF), although my workday was ridiculously easy, LOL. I love "F#%-Off Fridays"---but I still get $h!t done even though I'm alone with Master Mechanic MuuMuu the Barn Kitty. Our shop is looking better & better as time goes by, we're really dialing it in for maximum efficiency, yeah? Pretty soon I'll have a shot or two of MuuMuu welding up cr@p and fabricating to the limit, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I have some pics of Master Mechanic MuuMuu, as well as shots of the course taken on this BEE-YOO-TI-FUL DAY, weather here is friggin' AWESOME!!! Some of the pics were taken in 'Creative Shots' mode so the colors stand out... and there's a big ol' Great Blue Heron in several of those pond shots, with other waterfowl in the background and the scenery going off, LOL. Here we go with the pics, might have to post several rounds:

IMG_7517.JPG IMG_7518.JPG IMG_7521.JPG IMG_7522.JPG IMG_7523.JPG IMG_7524.JPG IMG_7525.JPG IMG_7526.JPG IMG_7527.JPG IMG_7528.JPG

Okay, that's actually the reclamation pond near the shop and NOT the clubhouse pond with the Great Blue Heron, but we'll get to the other pond in a moment... bear with me, I was cruising around in my Yamaha cart and having a good time, LOL. Back in a flash with more pics...

Round #2 of pics:

IMG_7529.JPG IMG_7530.JPG IMG_7531.JPG IMG_7532.JPG IMG_7533.JPG IMG_7534.JPG IMG_7535.JPG IMG_7536.JPG IMG_7537.JPG IMG_7538.JPG

Look closely and you'll see the Great Blue Heron in the foreground, other waterfowl in the background... not in those first shots, but in the latter pond shots, after the clubhouse restaurant shots I snuck in there, LOL. Not a bad place to kick back, the views out the huge windows are pretty f#%ng bad@$$, AYE??? Back in a moment with the final round o' pics... o_O

Round #3 of pics, forgot to mention that folks are working on the reeds & weeds at the edge of each pond, so the water levels were deliberately lowered to provide easier access. No worries, as soon as they're done the water level goes back to where it belongs, AYE? :cautious:

IMG_7539.JPG IMG_7540.JPG IMG_7541.JPG IMG_7542.JPG IMG_7543.JPG IMG_7551.JPG IMG_7552.JPG IMG_7554.JPG IMG_7555.JPG IMG_7556.JPG

Okay, there's the Great Blue Heron in a few shots, in case y'all haven't seen him yet, lol. And there's MuuMuu macking lunch on my desk, we share that area, 10-4? She's not a bad kitty, though she occasionally takes a swipe at me with her paw... the blasted varmint!!! Meh, I still love her, so I cut her some slack, lol...

CHEERS, YOUSE FOOLIOTS!!!

Not sure yet whether they'll help finance my purchase, but one dealership has a 2012 Kawasaki KLR 650 for sale at $3750, the bike looks showroom and only has 2900 miles on it. Evidently, the previous owner traded in two bikes he wasn't using very much, and he took a Goldwing in trade or whatever. So, we have an 8-year-old bike in immaculate condition with minimal miles on it, I'm thinking the guy was older and just didn't use it that much, or preferred to use the other bike he traded in for the Goldwing, right? This model is slightly heavier than what I want in the dirt, 500 lbs. or so fully-fueled and with oil and whatnot, but it would be GREAT on the roads & highways, with its power and nice fairing plus short windscreen... no 100-lb. Salami Bugs hittin' ya in the face, lol. A hand from the Army used to call 'em that, "100-lb. Salami Bugs"---because when ya hit one at 100+ miles per hour, it feels like you're gettin' hit by a 100-lb. salami, lol. o_O

So I applied for financing despite having been turned down by others, maybe these guys can rig their own financing at such a price, and it's a good deal for such a bike... my other options are to keep on looking (which is fun), buy a smaller and equally-inexpensive, street-legal bike to ride, or simply pay cash for a smaller dirt bike and haul it on my cargo carrier to road's end, AYE? All three options are still on the table, but if these guys go ahead and finance me for this KLR 650, which doesn't really cost that much for the condition of the bike, then I'll probably bite on the deal, since I could pay off the bike in 1-1/2 to 2 years, using my tax refunds to shorten the purchase plan. And I already called the insurance company, liability & theft insurance would only cost $147 per year, which seems quite reasonable. Whaddy'all think? Not a bad deal, eh? The age of the bike doesn't seem like such a factor, considering that it was garaged the whole time and the PO didn't ride it like a Crusty Demon...

One thing nice about this bike, regardless of the curb weight, is that it handles nicely on the pavement, and its large fuel tank would give me a nice riding radius or window without having to pull into some station to refuel. Sweet fairing and short windscreen to keep the bugs off, but not interfere in any way with offroad use... cool colors & graphics, and black rims (which I like more than chrome, alloy silver, etc). A good-looking bike, to be sure, maybe I could FINALLY score on such a bike with one of these hard-bitten redneck country gals, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Good thing I have full medical coverage... and life insurance, my niece & nephew (beneficiaries) will be happy, LOL. They also get the home, a 50-50 split so one can buy out the other if he or she feels like living in this earthly paradise known as Cochise County. Meh, it's time I thought about such things, instead of being an irresponsible b@stard who doesn't really give a flyin' f#%, lol.

ALRIGHT, HEROES, FEEL FREE TO CHIME IN WITH COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS, ETC., IF I BUY THE BIKE I'LL BE SURE TO GET NEW RUBBER WITH IT, 10-4??? CHEERS!!! :red70:

Er, not quite, though that IS pretty redneck, lol. Had to hunt for awhile in my other thread, my "Z50 monkeybike with a few mods" thread in the Projects/Builds Forum, but you can see my setup on Page 25, Post #489, first photo... note Z50/140 in back seat of Camry, and 125cc ThumpStar Pit Bike on cargo carrier, lol. If I knew how to link the photo, I'd drag it here for ya, but I can't be bothered with learning how to do this... story of my life, too many other greater priorities, like grabbing a fresh cold one from the fridge, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Nice redneck photo find, you get bonus points for that one... :ROFLMAO:

CHEERS!!! :red70:

Jeez, I was going back through this thread and the other one, and it was like reliving all those good times in the White Mountains. I sure miss that little FrankenBike, that thing was an offroad monster when I finished with it... too bad I sold the bike, but I needed money at the time, since I never found steady year-round work up there in Show Low. Those were two good years though, with the exception of the knee injury, I was living "The Life of Riley" in the tall pines... I also had to face the fact that I'm too old to skateboard anymore, but that was easy enough to let go, I did my share and more back in the day. Bones break too easily now, lol... I wonder if that kid survived, the one to whom I gave the board? That was a phat poolriding stick, super fast too, I would've loved to ride it when I was younger.

Meh, time to move on, I can still ride bikes and climb long moderate routes at the Stronghold, so f#% it... go sailing in Dago on paid vacay. Which reminds me, I can use some of that two weeks paid vacay per year to camp in the White Mountains, they're not that far from Benson, and the drive is totally scenic, lol. So winding up near Tombstone in southeastern Arizona isn't such a bad thing, in its own way this area is as cool as the White Mountains. Plenty to do here, that's for sure, and I FINALLY have a decent job with full gubmint benefits, which is a big plus... maybe the cosmos WANTED me to wind up here, and I'll gladly stay here till I DIE, making an occasional jaunt to the coast to go sailing, see friends & family, etc.

P.S. In many ways, my job is like PT in the Aaaargghmmy... I'm always pushing dead carts around the shop and lifting heavy parts like starter/generators & whatnot, so my knee and other parts of my anatomy are STRONGER now than they have been for awhile. I'm ready to ride a bike again, and I'm looking forward to climbing some of those larger crags, domes & spires in the Stronghold complex... there is literally a LIFETIME of climbing to be done out there, but I won't be tackling any of the really difficult routes, just long moderate climbs with heller views, aye? On some of those routes, I'll be able to see clear past Tombstone & Sierra Vista into Old Mexico, lol. Can't wait to take pics of my bike under the crags, and shots from each climb as we pull it... post 'em here for alla youse heroes, 10-4?

CHEERS, YOUSE KNUCKLEHAIDS!!! RIDE ON, YOUSE HEROES, WAHOO!!! TILL DEATH DO US PART, LOL...:red70:
