Just think they went for about 350 bucks brand spanking new back in the 70's. Who would of thought back then they would become the collectible bike that they are now. I would of bought a truck load of them back then and would have had a nice retirement account now!

If I had the money I would bid. I'd keep it just the way it is. I'd leave the bike in the box and keep it indoors and covered with plastic. The value will continue to rise. This is a rare piece for sure.

The dealership I used to work for had a warehouse that was full of vintage crated stuff like this. There were at least 4 ct's, a couple chrome z50's, 4 nsr's, two cx 500 turbos, some dream 305's, one of every interceptor ever made, all still in the crate never touched. I used to have some pictures, if i find out where i saved them ill post them on here. Alot of the older family owned dealerships have alot more of this stuff than you would think. Its like a retirement plan.

Yep over 5000 bucks now! This means someone will definitely get the bike if the bidding is legitimate. You can always have those morons who bid but never pay! 3 days to go. This may end up to be the highest price ever for a CT that was actually sold.

Looks like the seller lowered the reserve price. It will sell and has less than an hour remaining. Currently at $5,249.00. Link below............

Damn someone came in and sniped it with 3 seconds left for 6,210$

Come on now...you had to know that was going to happen.

That's close to what I figured it would bring, very respectable money, imho. 1974 is not the most collectible model. That's not a knock, either. However, it's more than double the highest price I've ever seen paid for a `74 which speaks volumes. Had it been an HK0, HK1 or silver tag K0...

Happened to me on the last bike that I sold on ebay. Most people are really nice and are prompt with there payment, but every now and then you get a jerk...

Im glad to see that this bike sold for a reasonable price. I agree with Racer though, it is a 74. Even if it was a k0 or k1 I think it would have gone for around a thousand more.

It went for less than I expected. I like K3's. Lots of chrome and first to have stock mirrors and turn signals.

In a bad economy I think that winning bid was a little low. This CT70 is something special being the original shipping crate. Wonder what the buyer plans to do with it?
