ill take the foot pegs and tail light bracket

The foot pegs above are already spoken for and I don't think I have any more. I can look a little more, maybe tonight. You might look at ct90 passenger pegs on eBay. They APPEAR to be the same pegs. They are also available new from some of our favorite vendors. If you buy new you need to get the square washers, pins, and cotter pins too.

Got the parts today Kirrbby and as before they are spectacular, very useable and clean. I thank you again. I'll do another video of the ugly ducklings re-build part 2 in the near future. If it weren't for you I don't think I would have been able to put this together anytime soon.

Kirby, thanks for getting back to me on the kick starter lever. Great idea! Your PM mailbox is full so I'm posting here.

Glad to see the ugly duckling is a functioning bike again! It appears you found a chain?... let me know. Also, your front brake actuator arm looks correct, it should be 2.5 inches long. Not sure why it is hanging up. Regarding your rear brake pedal.... it should have a slightly outward offset to clear the engine cover. You'd be surprised how easy it is to re contour these with a little of bench vise finessing. I'd get my hands on a shoulder bolt before attempting to tweak it. The rear sprocket bolts are typically close to the frame and have been known to damage many a frame without the proper lock washer. That stated, yours look a little extra close, not sure why as the spacer looks correct. Oh one last thing, your steering stem bolt is too ugly for even the ugly duckling, if there is a next time I send you something, I have a better one for you. Any other smalls you are in need of? Its fun to watch this bike make a come back.

Thanks Z50nut, on second look I think the front brake actuator looks ok, it is actually working fine, rear brakes still need some dialing in. The threaded rod that goes to the rear actuator is broken off with just a couple of threads to screw the adjuster bolt on, and it leaves enough threads to screw another bolt into the other end. A fix could be a new rod.
Looks like the sprocket bolts are ok, I'll give em another snug before I bend the tabs.
And yeas that steering stem is ugly. lol
Thanks

Hey Kirby,

Do you by chance have a triple clamp for a CT70 and a headlight bucket? Just picked up a 69 and am looking to fix it up for my son. If you have a complete set of bars with control I might be interested in that as well. Someone crashed this one pretty good on the left side.... lol

Hi Trent. I do have a aluminum triple tree top...clamp. I think it's in pretty good condition but I'll have to take another look. They're selling kinda cheap here lately it seems. I'm thinking 55 shipped, maybe a little less depending on my 2nd look. If you're interested I can post some pics. I'm not gonna have the bucket or bars tho. I'd recommend reproduction parts for both, unless you're going for all original Honda stuff. NEVC, DRATV, CHP, all have good repop buckets and bars. Crack free original buckets, and straight original bars are both very rare...and expensive if you can find them. If your original bars arent tweaked too bad, you might just try to bend them to a "matching usable" condition. Is your son a experienced rider? Is there a chance he might dump that bike a time or two? If not, the repop bars are nice for around $125. Shiny new.

If you're not familiar with the vendors I listed, you should check them out. I could post links.

Hey Kirby,

I accidently won one on eBay list night and ordered a new set of bars with controls on trail buddy this morning after I saw your post. My son is only 6 so I'm sure he is dumping this thing a ton.... lol. This thing is missing a bit more than I initially though when I got it but I think its coming together well. Its all blown apart now its time for sanding and cleaning before paint

Cool. If you won the clamp with knobs from Michigan, I think you did very well. Pics are a little fuzzy, but it appears to be pretty good. Right now is one of the tweener times of year when parts sell cheap on eBay. Keep your eyes pealed for the stuff you need. Prices will go up when the snow starts flying.

Hey Kirrbby! Been a while since I bought something...
If you have one, I need an intake manifold, "old" style with the 48mm bolt spacing, and if possible with 19mm carb throat end.
I am changing my '78 from the narrow spacing because it is so difficult to find a carburetor that fits...

Also, I'm trying round 2 of the kill switch knob. Have you a dead or broken wire kill switch with button that looks like this? I only need spring, ball, screw, knob.kill black.JPG

I can't help you on the switch. I don't have any of that type at all.
On the intake. I have stock early CT70 type only. I'll have to get some measurements to know if they fit the bill. I think the 78 used a different intake than the earlier models. I guess it doesn't matter if you're not using the original carb. And not worried about being "correct". I'll let you know...
