Trail 70 Webboard Official Bike Picture Thread

Great looking bikes guys, I have been trying for the last half hour to get a pic out , not much of a computer nerd, I have a hard time just following the forum ....Ha...Ha...My pics files seem to be too large....But you guys have some great looking bikes. Keep them coming......:monkey:

Hey guys, new member here. Been lurking for a while.

I have had my 1982 CT for around 3 years. I picked it up off my neighbour for $50 bucks! (not running)

Anyways, she is a driver, and gets a regular beating :monkey:

I've worked on it here and there when she needed it but nothing too much. Reciently it stranded me way back in a construction site at 12:30 am. She was smoking pretty bad and then just stopped shifting into gear (maybe the years of power shifting lol)

So me and 2 of my riding buds (z50's) went ahead and ordered 110cc 4spd's and swapped them in. I took the chance to completely rewire the bike as it was a wiring disaster from the begining.

I took my wheels apart and painted them black, got a new seat cover as well as changed the shape of the seat slightly, bought new fast50 bars, new grips, new filter, new 12v sealed battery, new 110cc exhaust, new lights and everything else that comes with a new engine.

She is back on the dirt now running strong and i'm having 10x as much fun now with more power. I think i have more fun riding my CT then my KDX lol!

The later models had the best suspensions and seats, making them more comfortable to ride. An infusion of power rounds-out the package nicely, doesn't it? Always good to see someone with their own, individual, take on these little bikes. Welcome to the world of CT70 addiction...:D

Okay, I figured out how to download. The red KO was my 2nd 70 I bought last summer. The "gold" is a '73 model that was originally blue, and I painted it Honda Gold, though not the ct gold, the civic gold.

nice choice putting the original black stripe on the '93, because I believe they came with some horrid pastel decal. I find the black, vertical stripe to be their best logo. Didn't like the diaganol stripes too much, and then all those bubble letters in aqua...blech. Honda seemed to have a bit of a struggle when it came to decaling thier bikes. I mean, they didn't even use any colour in the lettering, just piping. The lettering can really tie in the varied colours of your bike if you get your decal maker to experiment a bit.

racer: what kind of thing have you got growing up your skid guard? And are those disk brakes? Where they difficult to install? It also seems you've got a different (and shinier) bracket holding your headlight bucket. Quite the stunning bike.

Peace sign brake?

76 Bronco,

Where would one acquire a peace sign brkelight like you have? It is great.

Junkyard Dog - Update

Had a great Turkey day afternoon mud and railroad line ride.

In Pittsburgh, we have the "Rails to Trails" which are old railroad lines being converted into recreational trails for bikes and jogging. Several trails near our house have not been completed yet and are perfect got the CT70.

I did find out my rear shocks are gone and need to get some new ones. Will most likely upgrade to aftermarket for better performance and for 2 person rides or hauling gas at the racetracks.

Here's some pix...
