    Hi, all--

Will this thing keep my 12V battery ready for riding season 2019 over winter? 20180913_172700.jpg

That ought to do the job. I'm unfamiliar with that, specific, unit. If it has a self-regulating charging circuit, that tapers-off the current as battery voltage reaches target value, then it's essentially the same as the better known "battery tender". Truth be told, these SLA batteries neef very little maintenance. I got ~a dozen years from one...with zero maintenance.

Rated service life is typically 3-4 years(!)

Check the battery voltage, new. It"ll probably be ~12.6v, fully charged. I'd leave it alone until it's down .2-.3v. A 2a charge rate should top-off a 5ah battery in less than an hour, from that level. In theory, at least, it'd only take 3 hours from a fully discharged state.
