Turn Signal Bulb - '93 CT70

I need to replace a rear turn signal bulb on my '93 CT70. Local Honda dealer said I just need an 1156 bulb that's sold by auto parts stores or Walmart. I bought that bulb but it doesn't seat correctly in the blinker housing ... it basically won't stay seated. Does anyone know if it requires a Honda-specific or motorcycle-specific bulb? I did replace the tail light bulb recently with an 1157 bulb, and it worked fine. Thanks as always.

It will fit and should work just work fine, but the wattage is a little higher....assuming the descriptions are correct, Normally, I would not be concerned - EXCEPT the turn signal blinker is a little pricey and can be finicky.

It has to be indexed correctly too...
2 pins are set to different "depths". If it won't push in far enough to be locked in, turn it 180 degrees and try again.

You have to push it full in, then a slight turn clockwise to lock it.
