VIN case stamping

not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I’m going to be trying to restore an emerald green CT70H that didn’t come with the correct engine.

Does anybody know where I can get the left side of the crankcase stamped with the period correct VIN# of 111xxx? I’m looking to buy an NOS crankcase without a VIN#.

Just don't use any serial number with a 9 in it. That is the most goofy number- almost like that original stamp was done freehand

Service replacement crankcase halves can be found, with a little patience, and they're not terribly expensive.

Trophy shops have the engraving equipment. Can't guarantee that they'll have the exact font file but, they should have something that is reasonably close. As for finding a shop that will stamp the numbers, as the factory did decades ago...highly unlikely.

My ‘70 CT70 has a ‘9’. When I first saw it I thought, “That’s Weird.”

I have a 112 3xx if you want to swap.
