Looking to buy a CT70 H KO will consider any condition but prefer it is mostly there. Prefer original bikes or one that can be restored to original. Would consider any condition. My location (Montana) will be a challenge, but lets see what we can do. Please DM me with what you have. Pic for attention. Thank you

There is a beautiful HK1 for sale on craigslist in Chesterfield VA. $3800 I looked it over pretty good and it is a worthy bike. If I didn't have so many I would be interested. Well kept, original matching engine and paint and the foot peg ''knubs'' still look new. CT70H badges and the frame decals are still the originals.

That’s mine! I had it listed and someone wanted it from another state, I took the ad down and they played games with shipping. I’m going to repost soon.

I bought a KO 70 , a K1 70 and a 69 Z50 this past weekend at reasonable prices. They are still out there if you are diligent in the search and willing to pay fair prices.

THX for updating us Broz. I was hoping that you didn't just pop in that one day, tyring to get lucky, or find a sucker here on lilHonda. We'd love to see some pics, and or hear about your new bikes as you start getting acquainted with them.

Wow! You jumped in with both feet. Hardtail, softail, trike, and a couple CT70s.
Are you just newly hooked on Mini Trail's, or have you had one for a while? Is that green H in your first post yours too?
THX for the pics.

No I have been at it for a while. I have a dozen or so little Honda's. . Some done, some need work. Yes the H is mine and was done until the Marbles pain started cracking 2 to 3 weeks later. I will be completely doing it over soon.

I guess I just like them and enjoy working on them in the winter.

I'm curious. The paint actually cracked, or did it craze? Doesn't sound like something Marbles Motors would want to do. Are they aware of this?

I am not one to point fingers at anyone, so I will entertain the thought that is was my procedure. I did talk with Randy about this, and he really didn't have an answer other than maybe I put the clear (also Marbles) on too heavy. But I didn't get a single run. It was 2 to 3 weeks later it started cracking. Makes me sick and is going to cost me a lot of money to strip and repaint. I have only posted a picture one other time and I learned there are at least two other that had the very same thing happen. I am not going to bash Marbles at all, but out of fear of a re-occurrence I will not be using their paint again. Here is what I have to deal with now.

I've been applying paint to cars, body work and small Hondas on and off for about fifty years now in enamel, lacquer (single stage and base coat clear coat) and urethane base coat clear coat. I've never had that happen. If I had to guess, I'd say you have a problem with the primer not playing nice with the color application. What type of primer did you use and what was the make-up of the top coats ( base and clear)?

Don't forget I know there is 3 of us at least that had this same exact problem. This bike was really in decent shape, it just was faded on the top of the frame so I wanted to paint it. I degreased it first, Then hand sanded, then tac ragged it off. Applied the Marbles silver base, let dry, then tac ragged again to remover dust, then the marbles candy color, let dry, then the marbles clear. Same process on the new headlight bucket that was new in Emerald Green but I painted it as I wanted a great match. So same cracking over the factory Honda paint as there was with the headlight bucket paint. No primer was used as there was no bare metal. I am not an expert, but have owned show cars, race cars and plenty of custom paint jobs in my 62 years. My unprofessional opinion is it is a problem with the clear as I don't think the cracks go into the color below the clear. It is like the clear shrank like crazy. So much so you can stick a fingernail in the cracks. This is what it looked like 1 week after I was finished painting and it was reassembled. Sad deal for sure.

I'm not a painter at all, but it looks to me there is something wrong with the chemical make up of the clear. Reminds me of a dry lake bed.
