Where to buy a Lifan 140 these days?

The only place I'm seeing the 140cc (1dn,3up) is on eBay. I'm "okay" with that, but would really prefer someone reputable and with a little customer service. Tbolt has nothing, dratv has a kit that's way over my budget, CHP has the 150cc kit that's a 3 speed (might work). I see the pccmotor website with the 4up version, 4 UP! LIFAN 140CC OIL COOLED ENGINE XR/CRF 50 Whole Sets!. Just looking for the basic kit with carb and everything. Any ideas or suggestions? I'm not looking to rebuild my stock motor, but would be interested in other lifan motors...

I purchased a pcc 140 4 up several years ago and it still runs. I would not get the china 140 with a 1 d 3up pattern. The 4 up is supposed to be stronger. My 1d3up 138cc blew 3rd gear at about 4 thousand miles. These engines will give you about 6 thousand miles and it's time for a new one. Hooper wont guarantee the engine,''no warantee'' any more than pcc will so who you choose is up to you. You will have to buy a jet kit as the carbs are jetted dangerously lean from China. Just cause it comes with the kit don't mean it's tuned/tested from the manufacture.

The YX 140 is hands down a better more reliable engine Every 140 Lifan we tested we broke 3rd gear
Im going to agree on this one , We do offer a few Lifans but not Lifan 140 for good reason
and dustin you said "TBolt Has nothing" thats because we will NOT sell Lifan 140cc
To many broken cranks in the SSR 140cc bikes , we talked SSR into running YX140s too

Any of the new Lifan 140cc are all 4UP now....as said the older versions 1DN-3UP were not as robust.

I bought one from Hoopers last year,a 1DN-3UP,not as educated as I am now :35: and the date code on it was 2008 :13:

But...I have over 1700 miles on it now, probably more with all my inaccurate mileage readings from numerous wheel changes, and the thing still runs perfect. Not easy miles either with full throttle off road shifting just about every time I ride my White Bike.I am wanting to see how much it can take so I can upgrade

I'm sure the new 4Up versions are every bit as good as the 125cc 4UP engines,I have 2 of those, they shift butter smooth and run vibration free at all rpm's.

If I ever kill my older 140cc I will not hesitate getting the new and improved version.Just too much easy cheap and fun power to play with.Like everything else improvements are on going and quality improves with time.

I do have 2 genuine Honda engines in the garage and will rebuild some day for a purest built bike, but to get the same power at this low cost would be difficult. In the meantime these little "disposable" engines are hard to beat

This vendor has been good, but you have to sign for the package upon delivery,so keep that in mind.
He seems to be out of stock but there is another one also
