Will an auxiliary gas tank fit on a 1971 "K2" CT90?

Will it just bolt right on, or do I need to drill some holes and/or tap them?

I bought the auxiliary gas tank and what appears to be a mount for it. Haven't looked everything over too carefully just yet. Bought a bunch of stuff all at once.

Well, thanks for the links. I did go and look at the pictures, but that didnt really answer my question.

It appears there is room, but does anyone else know what I would be getting into by trying to mount this thing?

The 1972 K4 CT90 was the first year that you could easily add the aux tank if it did not have one, according to the text and pictures on that web site.

But it will be roughly a hundred bucks or more to do it and the tank will likely be rusted and the fill hose dry rotted so be careful what you seek on EBay.

I just bought a NOS Honda auxiliary tank and the mounting hardware. Both are in perfect condition.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever done the mod to a 1970 bike (not a 71 as in my thread title).

I believe the mounting holes for the bracket should already be in the frame. Should be a simple add-on, though I do not have a '70 to look at to be sure.

This info may help from the CT90/110 forum: LINK
