Wiring Issue

Just completed installing a new wiring harness on my 1968 Honda CT90 K0. Everything works fine EXCEPT when I turn on the lights, the head light works as it should, but the taillight goes into stop light mode with both elements lit. When the lights are off the brake light works as it should. Could the issue be with the right handlebar switch? I am at a loss!
TIA

How do you do that?
You can buy jumper wires at an auto store. They are miniature jumper cables, just like the ones you would use for a car, but a lot smaller. Make sure that that alligator clips are solidly grabbing. Also, remove the taillight bulb and check for oxidation. I’d try a new bulb, won’t hurt to have an extra

Ya know ggood, some sort of acknowledgement would be appreciated. OAD ?
If you tap on ggood’s username, you can see that he hasn’t visited the site since Sunday @4:43pm. I believe in good manners, but taking offense that someone hasn’t acknowledged your tip on your timetable suggests you think manners are a transaction you get the privilege of forcing on others. That’s not actually the case, is it?
Remember, you meet the nicest people on a Honda! ✌🏼

I love rare people. I’m here to help. I suppose his question was not an emergency. I thought it was. Let’s not take this thread Somewhere else. PM me if needed.

So sorry about that 2badknees. I do appreciate the help. And it did help. I'm kinda new at this forum thing. I will try to do better in the future. And it is true. You meet the nicest people on a Honda.
Hey ggood - that’s good enough for me. Good luck and keep us posted. Thank you
