You haven't seen this one yet...another 1993 CT70

Jarred, FWIW, considering the overall investment in this machine, I wouldn't let less than a C-note price difference influence carb choice. The temptation, at current prices, is well understood...very well understood. And, when it comes to getting the itch to test a new bike, temporarily making do with a carb you already have, I get that too.

Methinks you'd do well to buy one of each...or spare(s) for the future. You've got more than enough machinery in your stable and are in this for the long haul.

I also expect that this combo will deliver the goods...big gains on the seat-of-the-pants dyno...usable power, EFI-like throttle response and as close to stock mpg numbers as we're likely to ever see from a tune this large...plus longevity The tradeoff should be maybe 2-5mph at the very top, where it'll scarcely be missed...if at all.

Bob, you are right. Spending a few bucks to get the correctly sized carb on the bike, at this point, is a no brainer. I guess, at this point, I'm just struggling with what the right size carb should be. If the MJN22 works perfectly on a bog stock 110cc Nice. Would it also be the right carb for a worked 142 or would the MJN24 be the right one?

Normally, this time a year I'm in no hurry to make the decision since riding season is over for the fancy bikes. However, seeing that the MJN24 is currently on sale for $162 makes me want to complete the assessment quickly.

Very nice bike fatcaaat.

What do you call that one, when you call it? Just... "my 93"? ...142? Or do you have a name for it. Just curious.

I don't know yet what I"ll call this. The 5 CT's I currently have are
Schoolbus - used to be schoolbus yellow in color, so i kept the name
Greenie - the 75 stock mighty green one
Three's Company - the 1982 with the stock nice and all custom with piles of 80's stickers, including jack, janet, and chrissy
Ol Blue - the high dollar one with the 176cc Nice engine
and this red one...which I don't yet have a name for it.

As for the carb, I have made a decision. I am going to purchase a TM-MJN22 for this bike. I'm going to monitor the prices for it. It will eventually drop under 200 is my guess. If I buy the one for the Honda Ape 100, it will also come with a boot that will match my current intake manifold, and the ape100 manifold will match the head on my xr200...so I get a win all around.

At sub-$200, I'll order one, plus a spare.

Sourcing a complete kit, that's bolt-on compatible would be ideal. But, that seems highly unlikely for a Nice-motored CT. As long as the mounting flange/spigot comes with the carb, I'd go for the cheapest kit. You've more than enough capability to modify an existing 22mm intake manifold, or fab your own from stainless. That will also allow you to tailor the carb positioning with precision.

Amazing bike. Wow. That’s all I can say. Where did you get the sissy bar set up like that? I was thinking about modifying my luggage rack to look like that but would rather just purchase a prestine one.

That's actually a lift handle. I know the original owner of this bike, he sourced the part abroad, circa 2003. To date, I've never seen one offered by a domestic vendor.

FYI, rear racks are available in a number of different configurations. Some have the lift handle integrated into the design. Having that 90-degree piece, immediately behind the seat is very useful for securely carrying stuff, too.

You can buy that exact grab handle today still. Gcraft part from webike. There is also a copy version made by gm-moto i believe.

I normally prefer the original racks as I run them on three of my other bikes. but this one is a little different all around, and hence I decided to keep the grab handle.

FYI...to the newcomers, who may be unfamiliar with G`Craft products. They are top-of-the-line quality and honest mechanical bling, a.k.a. "bike jewelry"

Not to go off in an entirely different direction...
Has anyone looked at or seen the website called;

"Web Bike Craze" on Facebook!?! They are out of the U. K. !
What I was most interested in was the "3.5 Liter Fuel tank" as well as
the "Rebedframe...5.5 Liter Fuel tank"!

I could NOT find a photo of this frame...

Cheers, Donald

Here's a little update. While I guess I have not really given a lot of time to the VM26 carb, I think I had my heart set on doing something else from the beginning. So, I now have another MJN22 in my possession. This should correct any and all off throttle stumbling and give me really crisp, efi response across the whole range. All I need now are a few warm days to get it installed and tuned.
