O hell no!!! I want to keep all my stuff!!!! LolYou're not married, are you?
Thanks bud!! Still a lot of work ahead!!! LolLooks good.!!
I used automotive (single stage) grade paint on the frame ( not rattle can) ...I’ve had frames done in powder but not a huge fan due to most of the time the rust pits show if any and the vin#’s get molded over where you can’t read...with paint I can fill rust pits before paint.. the sl70’s were much more rare than the CT’s but back in the day anyone I knew would trade there ct70 for an sl70 without even thinking about it...not so much anymore? I think the sl’s were about $100 more and that was big $$ back in those days...here are pics of a October 1971 popular mechanics magazine on mimicycles. Note the hp rating for the ct and sl 70’s ..I guess they got the extra hp from the bigger carb and better pipe? The head is a little different on the sl’s also..but I question it because they say xr75’s are 5 hp and I know for a fact that an xr75 with spank and sl70 in bottom and top end speed?Awesome job so far. Do you use paint or powder for the frame? Interesting to see that the frame has a cross bar that uses the bolts that normally bolt the pegs to the engine of Z's and CT's. Have to be honest that back in the day SL 70's were not even on the radar don't even remember them on the show room floor. By this time I was into 125's and a couple of years after that the 250's. Would not mind one now though.....
Thanks!!! It’s a project that been sitting around for way too long so I’ll be glad when it’s done!!!Great effort, Robert!
Thanks....the original Aquarius blue..Man this is looking good!! What color are you going to go with?
