    Surges no Power

I finally got a chance to play with the bike. I ran it with and without the filter. No change. I cleaned the stock spare carb i had and put it on the bike. No change. Bike idles smooth. Runs great down low but surges mid throttle and above. It will accelerate up to top speed but surging...

    Surges no Power

Looks like the china carb and stock carb use the same main size jets. I pulled the stock main jet from OEM Carb but could read what size it was and put in the china carb and it ran the same. I pulled the main jet from the china carb and it says 60. Guessing I need to find a a 58? Thanks.

    Surges no Power

I've brought this up in other threads but wanted to start one specifically for this issue. I have a 1977 ct70 1,700 miles. the bike starts up very easy usually first or second kick. Idles perfect and runs up to mid throttle good. After that it starts to surge and the power drops off. I have...

    Ignition question

The switch was in the frame of the project bike. It had been drilled out but plugged in and functioning as if it had a key and turned on. We were able to put the switch from the parts bike in and all is good. Thanks for the help.

    Ignition question

Great. Thanks. The parts bike has an ignition key switch and we pulled it. Ordered a key for it and it works in the switch as well as the helmet lock. Was just wondering if it was going to be as easy as just plugging it in the project bike and being done. Thanks again.

    Ignition question

What would happen if the ignition key switch were unplugged? The main bike had no ignition key switch. We were able to run the bike using the on/off switch on the handle bar. Since the key switch was gone does this mean that some wires were tapped together to make the bike run like this? Or...

    lost key / no key

I pulled the switch off the parts bike. The numbers are 6AA22A. I'm not 100% there is not a key broke off or not. I don't think so. I contacted the ebay seller of keys you mentioned. Waiting for his reply. Thank you. Would this be my only option or cheapest option.

    lost key / no key

Thanks you've been of great help. It is a 77. I tried to remove the ignition but it just spins the whole assembly. Guessing I need to remove the gas tank and get an arm in the frame. thanks again.

    lost key / no key

I have two bikes. Parts bike and project bike both the same year. The project bike is getting real close mechanically to being complete. However the project bike came with no ignition switch. The parts bike has an ignition switch but no key. My thought was if I could switch the ignition...
