Thanks for this. I let someone who really knows these bikes take a look. Will report back what he finds.

My wire is a bit short so that is why I thought about replacing it. Wondering if it loses connection but cant prove it when plugged in. Could be my eyes but when I test for a spark I don't see it each time. Maybe its moving and not grounded. I did ignite the gas in the cylinder with one test...

I will check. What do I do if it is low on compression?

Pulled the air filter hoping it was that. It wasn't. I have compression from what I can tell. I have spark. I guess I have air. I'm not sure how I screwed it up.

pulled the plug and when i grounded it on the engine it sparked some of the excess fuel in the cylinder so I know its getting in htere.

I have compression I assume. I have spark How do I check air? I was going to remove a side of the airbox and see what happens.

Was thinking, could the air filter be an issue. When I got the bike there was no rubber plug from the filter to the seatbox. I added that. Could I not be getting air?

I think mine is ok. I want a new coil though at some point. I assume generic is okay? My wire is slightly shorter but there is spark. Still can't figure out why it wont start though

Anyone used this? http://dratv.com/coilwirsplic.html Seems an easy way to fix my wire without having to yank it all apart.

After playing with it, I see Im getting spark. Not sure I get spark with every kick but it's working. I don't think this is my issue but I want to replace the starter. Any recommendations on replacing? Do I go genuine? Now that the bike is back together what's the easiest way to replace it...

Tried, then wrapped it with electrical tape. Didn't see the copper inside. When I had the plug out I could see the spark but not sure I'm getting it when the plug is in. Does this seem like it could be the issue?

So I came home noticed a few things. When I try to start it the piston is definitely moving. Not sure why I thought nothing was happening. Occasionally get the exhaust strokes. Pulled the plug and first thing I noticed is the plug end falls off. Never noticed that better. Managed to wedge...

CT-70 H Gas is new. Fuel lines are new. Replaced Right Crankcase Seal/Clutch Cover. Pulled the plug this morning and looked at it. Was dry but black on the end. When I kick it, doesn't sound like its trying to start but failing. Kinda sounds like nothing. How does the ignition ground?

CT70 H. Doesn't sounds like its doing anything when I crank it. Its weird because it started up all the time before. All I did was change oil, replace crankcase seal etc. Didn't mess with most of it. When I put the new battery in it started up and 2 cranks and it was at least 6 months since...

I know there are a zillion threads about this but I figured hey what's one more. When I got my bike over a year ago, it would always start on the first kick. Even when the previous owner just had it sitting forever, it just would start easily and run fine. After I ripped the bike apart, I...
