    Fork pipe failure

Thats a first. That threaded sleeve is, like racerx said, pressed in. maybe brazed or soldered also? There should be a air space above the oil column when the forks are compressed so that much oil makes me think too much oil is "another" issue. I vote for brazing also. But thats a first!!!

    Engine serial ID?

I just "re-stamp" all my engines to match the frame. That GREATLY increases the value ..... right? Especially on the engines that the Serial number has been ground off. ;)

    CT70 k0 Restoration/Mod

I think the distance collars are different. Like 1 or 2 mm variations. Not sure if the parts book says there length. I remember running into this. could have been when I was doing CT90s though.

    Opinions on Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer?

The boat is a hewscraft 200 searunner. (20') The data plate says it will take a 150, but I like the 115. it weighs 408 lbs, and I have a 8hp (83lbs) kicker so there is 500lbs hanging on the stern, combine that with 85Gals (575lbs) and its getting pretty heavy. I think it has a 1800 lbs total...

CT70 build from box of parts

Sometime s I will snug it up at the head and force it over the stud but that one is too far. I have had luck buying a little by losening the two motor mounts like racerx was talking about. But by what I see in the pics I would make it right with the pipe off the bike. Some how get creative...

    Opinions on Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer?

My big PITA is my 20 ft alum boat. It has a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke that burns 5 gals/hr 85 Gallon Tank (wish I would have got the 55gal version) I only use 100 gals a year. So I used to stabilize the entire 85 gals, then park it in the building late sept. Then in the spring it took all...

Do you have a wiring diagram? its the only way. these bikes are pretty simple. When looking for shorts unplug everything, replace fuse, then start plugging stuff back in, when the fuse blows .... look down stream

    1970 Honda ct70 Points won't open

hmmm, I better check my stash, last time I looked had 2 or 3 sets. I heard that they were getting harder to find but that was 5 years ago, I figured it was cuz of the nuclear meltdown they had in Daiichi Japan. Ok, maybe I will start cleaning the good ones I have have installed and not be so...

    1970 Honda ct70 Points won't open

If my flywheel is coming off, I am going large and spending the $10 and throwing in a new set of Daiichi Points. (and a felt) Sandpaper not the best for points Use a meter and Ohm the black wire,(unhooked) should go from .5 to 3 (aprox) when the points open. The .5 ohms tells you your points...
