    What Media Blaster gun

Wow. You guys are great. I knew I could get some great input from all of you. I had a feeling I would be wasting money if I bought any of them at Tractor Supply. I like that TP "Build your own" kit, and I think I will do just that, except make it big enough for a whole frame. I love...

    VIN Look Up

Well, I was never able to fully know whether or not it had ever been titled. However, being in Georgia you are not required to have a title on such an old vehicle and thus was able to have it insured and then registered and plated simply by having a Deputy Sheriff come to my house and verify...

    Back to Original Owner

Your diligence is amazing and inspiring and Fred must be a happy camper because of it. If everyone was as thoughtful and as kind as you Scooter, the world would be a MUCH better place. Thanks for posting that up and give yourself a hardy pat on the back for it!

    Assembly time....finally

Excellent Work. Turned out VERY nice. BTW. What RC Plane is that in the "hangar"? I'm an RC nut too, been flying on and off for 25 years. Right now I have a few QuadCopters.

    VIN Look Up

I signed up for an account on checkthatvin.com and plugged the VIN numbers for both my 1970 and 1978 CT70's in there and it returned "no record found". I assume that means they were never titled or plated, but wanted to ask you guys if maybe there is a certain trick to putting the VIN's in or...

    What Media Blaster gun

I went by Tractor Supply today to pick up a media blaster and noticed that they had several different kinds to choose from. Cabinets to tanks to spot guns with small holding chambers. If you were going to pick one to use for stripping rust from a CT70?

    Shift Pattern

I'll get a pic up soon. I have actually decided to transplant the engine into my 78 frame and try to find a 4spd motor with a close serial number so that the 1970 is back to near OEM.

    Shift Pattern

    Excellent. Thanks.

    Shift Pattern

Never mind I just searched it and found out most all 70 models are three down shifting. Now all I need to know is how to tell if it is a z50 trans in the z50 case or a CT. Is there any difference?

    Shift Pattern

What's a normal CT shift pattern for the 3 speeds?

    Shift Pattern

I got my CT70 running!! Hooray My CT is a Frankenstein. From the serial numbers I learned that it has a Z50 case and I suspect a Z50 3 speed, with a CT manual clutch, cylinder and top end. Here's the weird part, all three gears are down and neutral at the top of the pattern. Because of...

    Chinese Carb Woes?

The slide needle controls main jet flow at different throttle positions and thus should not be causing you problems with the idle circuit. For the idle air/fuel mixture, I am not 100%, but I think that needle controls the amount of fuel that is passing through and thus it is the same principal...

    Chinese Carb Woes?

To go more lean you move the needle down and thus the clip that holds the needle must go upward. The needle is a conical shape going from small diameter at the bottom to larger diameter at the top, its shaped this way so that as you open the throttle slide, more and more fuel is allowed to flow...

4 speed conversion kit. good or bad??

I don't think he is talking about an impact wrench, I believe he is talking about an impact screwdriver for the case cover screws. Like this one: http://www.harborfreight.com/impact-screwdriver-set-with-case-37530.html

Which road to take with my CT?

My 78 has a motor with serial number CT70E-2703707. The 78 frame is CT70-2703625.

Which road to take with my CT?

Well, I just found out some bad news. I rubbed the greasy oil off the engine serial number to see if it matched and it doesn't even come close. The engine serial number is: Z50AE-431412, yet the cylinder says 72cc on it and it has a fourspeed manual clutch set up. Seems to be a frankenstein...

Which road to take with my CT?

Hey guys, I want to figure out what to do with my CT? It's a 1970 all original, serial number CT70H-117863, it has 3182.7 miles on the original motor with factory 4spd manual and other than the carb is fully rideable right now since I got the ignition working again. My concern is: Is this a...
