i just put new TBparts shoes on a 82 Z50r. I’m getting some resistance when spinning the hub from the new shoes. Is this normal? Maybe they’ll wear in after riding it?

Thanks Kirrbby, what about the cam chain tensioner? I guess I'm just not really sure how it works. Once you tighten the set screw there is no more spring action.

Ok thanks. I was replacing all cam chain components and noticed this. So I should probably just put everything back together and get flywheel back on before I put cam sprocket back on and set timing? I’m assuming if I advance flywheel it will free up cam shaft? Also, how tight should I set the...

I’m working on a 1982 Z50r and noticed the cam isn’t wanting to spin. Shouldn’t the cam spin freely once the cam sprocket is off?
