[QUOTE="-Nate, post: 197575, member: 17572"] Marc ; The Chinese copy carbys are often fine but when not you'll be pulling your hair out trying to figure out why it doesn't run right . I recently went through this with an old Honda single and a brandy new Chinese carby ~ it looked fine and sometimes ran O.K. but never really "Just-So" as any Honda should with minimal repair . I frustration Iet my friend who's a trained Honda Mechanic and works at my local Honda dealer so he actually knows and doesn't mind working on 45 year old Hondas, to look at it, he fiddled with it awhile and said "It looks to me like you've done everything, I don't like that Chinese carby " . GAH . Honda discontinued that carby years ago and it took me a long time to find one N.O.S., in Pakistan of all places and (gasp) $320 delivered in the Honda red & white box . My bike isn't worth more than $250 and I'm retired with no SSI, so a fixed budget but I bit the bullet and saved up the $320, the new carby came in, is a thing of beauty, I bolted it on and the bike runs literally "AS-NEW" as it and any other old Honda should . I have seen the C100 50CC carbys on E-Bay, the C110 uses a completely different carby . I hope you get this sorted out and share with us what you did and where you bought the new carby . I also hope you know that before touching the carby the valve gaps and ignition timing must be *PERFECT* as this bike (C100) has fixed timing so it'll never run right unless those two things are dead nuts .
