85 xr200 top end

Idk if this qualifies as a little Honda but at least its a Honda. The motor on this thing needed a top end and the owner didn't want to spend the money on it. I sold him a 93xr200 that I had done the top end and he was kind enough to leave this one for me. LOL. I did an engine swap in the 85 for this guy almost 2 years ago, then, the bike kinda got harder and harder to start. So he brought if for me to check out. I discovered a bad valve. After a couple of months trying to get parts for it, I finally got em. Honda only made the RFVC motor in the 200cc for 2 years, so parts are scarce. I called a guy I know that works at a dealer in CA and he gave me his parts locator list. I got the piston from KC, the intakes from TN and the exhuasts out of Utah. Got the stuff to the machine shop this a.m.

So, there it is. All back together and runs great. The shock leaks oil, so I'll have to fix that. I found the plate for it in the fender pouch. Its reg'd until the end of the year. With gas at almost $4/gal I may start riding it to work when it warms up a bit. Other than the shock and it needing a good scrubbin, its ready to roll.
