I hope as is well during these crazy moment in life? So I found out in January that my dad is going to be retiring around Labor Day this year. I figured why not build him a Candy Sapphire Blue CT70 just like the one he bought new in 1969. So far, the frame and swing arm have been dipped and pickeled at American Metal Cleaning in Toledo, Ohio. I have ordered almost every part possible from CHP, Dratv, Northeast Honda, and some old parts from EBay. I have decided to put the 88cc kit from CHP in the engine for more power for the big guy. If you haven’t seen these kits, they look stock even down to the carb which is great. I did not want some goofy carb hanging off the side of the engine. I want everything to look the part. I also bought the performance KO exhaust from them that looks just like the original. Here’s where things get interesting. So not sure if anyone on here has done this or not? I took the Ct70 motor and combined it with a Atc70 motor. The motor is now a 4 speed auto clutch with a kit start. The engine has been completely gone through. I blasted the cases then vapor honed them. More to come!
