newbie, cdi ignition upgrade?

I know of one on eBay:

eBay Motors: HONDA CT70 Z50 ST50 SS50 C50 CDI CONVERTER BLACK COVER (item 180182491334 end time Jun-16-08 20:59:18 PDT)

Comes with a flywheel with an adapter to fit your points-type crankshaft arm. And of course, the stator plate and a CDI ignition unit. And a new ignition cover (choose a colour).

The seller is in Vietnam... he gets mostly good reviews (except for one guy who found the item slow to ship), but I haven't seen anyone actually BUY this kit off of him yet. If you're willing to take the plunge, this is a possibility.

I'm buying a kit myself personally once I get my engine all fixed up. Running engine first, then electronics =)

would this really work? if not is there anywere else were i am guaranteed that one will work using stock points ignition crank. I have heard of conversion that require you installing the whole unit that actually is the motor in a cdi starter type engine. I would really like to know i like my kick start but if i can do this i am sure i will get brighter lights ( we are talking about 6-12volt) I really would like to put some HID lighting so i can actually see at night and also put better turn signals.

I was looking at this myself, but it's still a 6V setup. He doesn't happen to have a 12V system does he? Nearly all the electricals in my own CT70 have disappeared, so I was hoping to get the 12V kit from webLLC instead of having to hunt down a wiring harness and separate pieces.

Another thing: The person selling the 6V CDI flywheel asks that you send him the year of your bike, and model number. Don't all K0-79 CT70's use the same CDI box, and more or less the same wiring? There wouldn't be massive differencees between bikes from those years would there?
