I've come to the realization that I simply do not need this bike in my collection. Partly because I have have 3 other fully built CTs that I love, and the other part is that this bike was finished by me, but not designed by me, and hence I do not have the attachment to it. This was originally Dan Smith's bike (z on the other forum) and he spent an insane amount of money building it. I was unhappy with a few of the design selections and changed out and updated some...but obviously retaining the original design style and quality. You can see this bike is a no expense spared masterpiece...perhaps one of the nicest and appointed CTs in the country. It's a 1993, titled in my name in Virginia and is fully tuned and needs absolutely nothing to get on it and ride today. Major highlights Fully rebuilt (by me) Honda Nice 142cc using TRP 62mm crank. MJN Carb, Takegawa cooler, Over Titanium Exhaust. Over Forged one piece aluminum wheels, 12" appointed with Heidenau 120/70-12 tires, brembo brakes, stainless lines, and gcraft discs NSR50 revalved forks, Daytona shocks, g-craft triple square swinger, g-craft trees make up the suspension and steering. Gcraft rearsets. Forget brand on the damper...but it wasn't a cheap one. Fenders and chrome are all honda, seat and harness original, Takegawa/KOSO takegawa dash, takegawa headlight, NOS Dax handlebars. Every part on this is Honda Original, or JDM aftermarket high end stuff except the catch can (unknown source) and the Billet Levers (Taiwanese). The lines and fittings are all earls high quality stuff. So, what do you think something like this might fetch? Well, Dan's build sheet was just shy of 9k from what I could reckon...and that didn't include the Nice Engine or the Over Exhaust, mjn carb, or rearsets. That would put this bike over 10k without much trouble. My price is 6500 for the bike. I will also split the bike into two distinct sales...A complete roller, and the Engine, cooler, carb, intake, exhaust at 3500 each.
