QA50 serial #/ engine # locations

Does anyone know the location of the serial numbers on a Honda QA50? This guy has one for sale about two hours away. He does not know the year, it looks to me to be a 73-75. I asked him for the numbers so I could figure out what year it is and he said he cannot find any but does not know where to look. He said it had a Honda Motor Co. tag.

last time i had a QA50 i was 7 years old.i didnt care @ that time to know either!LOL.ask him to look under the countershaft sprocket.

The vin# is located just below the shifter (see photo) The 70-72 KO started with 1000001, the 73 K1 started with 200000, the 74 K2 Started with 300000 and the 75 K3 started with 400000.

Thanks everyone. I picked it up yeaterday. It's a 1974. I did find the frame serial # location today after searching a bit. Left side, right infront of the rear axle.
