How to refill the front forks

First off the front end of a CT 70 has forks, shocks are what are mounted on the rear from the frame to the swingarm. On the bottom of the forks near where the axle goes through you will see a small bolt facing to the rear. Remove that 10mm bolt to drain the fork oil, (DO ONE AT A TIME). Put a drain pan or something near each fork bottom and pump the forks to push out the old oil. Watch out because it will shoot all over your garage. After you drain the old fluid put the 10mm bolts back in. Now remove the large crome cap nuts on top of each fork. Use a funnel and add new oil. My manual says to use Dexron automatic transmission fluid, but you can use a good 10-15W fork oil. Make sure to carefully measure the oil, if you add too much you can damage the forks or blow the seals. A shop manual has all the specs on oils. Put the crome cap nuts on and your done.:D
