"Scooter" rear shock rebuild

I just received a package of 4 rear shocks back from a member here" Scooter ".
Excellent Excellent - finished to the best level available .
Yes it's a little more dough to send off a stock set of shocks that are still only sprung for 100 pound rider but they come back in concours level for men who are after show quality original . Thanks well done and a reasonable charge - effortless transaction and Great communication .

Shhhhhhh- I questioned posting anything positive about the guy !
Next time we go to get sets done he will be tooo busy - You know how they get - PICK UP only - surcharges - cores have to be NOS .

Not Ktheake’s set (his were in much better shape to start from) but here is a before and after set of pics that I worked prior to his. Every shaft was stuck

Nice work, hard to believe how well some things clean up. After your done with a rebuild do the shocks have some oil dampening?

Yes - I replace the seal and go with a heavier weight oil to increase damping. On a spring mass damping system if you add more mass from the original design you want to add damping to keep it critically damped
