I have seen an increase here in Florida the past couple of years of scooters being used for basic transportation. The question will be if the general public is willing to part with 4g's for these two models. I'm sure Honda has completed their marketing homework and is confident in their decision to bring them stateside. I hope it works.

I also hope it works. I wonder what the tranny is - the article doesn't say. The timing is also curious ... in my area, prices for new Groms and Z125's are declining. But I think this Monkey looks cool and can't wait to see the first couple on the local streets.

I was just looking at the Honda website, and they had a blurb about the 2019 Monkey... I was looking at another bike and I didn't go on to find the latest news on the Monkey, but I guess they'll be available soon, if they're not already on the market. I'll go back and check the website later, got lookie-loos comin' to tour the house. :cautious:

Wait a minute... how can it be a true monkeybike without 8" rims??? They rip off the Z50 styling, then add a bunch of bull$h!t, I know my goldurned FrankenBike didn't have a curb weight of---er, how much was it?---231 lbs., or was it 240??? Damn, I didn't mind the upgrade to a 125cc motor, but making the rims larger?!?!? PFFFFFFFT. The whole point (and challenge) of riding the Zs was the tiny little rims & wheels, this is starting to sound like just another marketing gimmick which targets so-called Boomers... squeeze some more money of out of 'em before they croak, AYE??? Or before the gubmint steals all their cash, LOL. It's a race between gubmint & corporate Honda, who's gonna get the last thin dime out of each Boomer??? :cautious:

Trust Tripod to have already ordered one... I suppose I could buy one after this house sells, though I had planned to get back into sailing once I relocate. I dunno, $4K is pricey for this sorta bike.

Had an offer on the house for $99K last week, but it fell through... now some folks want it, but they're trying to beat me down, maybe I'll take $93K just so I can get on with my life. :cautious:
