If the fork tubes look good I could use them. PM me a price shipped to S.C. Kirb.

This is the one I mentioned. Was caked with baked on dirt. I've gone the first round of cleaning so you can see the part. It is a good core imo. Needs a complete rebuild with seats cut. There is a bit of rust on one of the cam lobes that I tried to picture. Some rust on the valve seats too I think.
It would be a excellent candidate for vapor honing...or, it will take some dedication to scrub clean by hand. Some tough dirt, is what is left on this head.
E9 3 stamping I think would/could pass for a correct K1 part. But I'm thinkin this may have come from a K0.
Didn't see any other issues to note. I'm comfortable calling this a good rebuildable head...and note that it will probably be tough to clean. (None are easy to clean...lol)

1000 pics...more if you want them.

Hey Kirrbby any chance you have a 26 tooth countershaft third gear It’s for a ct70H k-1. I looked in my sl,cl,ct 70 parts manual and all have the same part #. 23461-026-000...there’s none on eBay with that # but there’
Is 3rd gear countershaft 26 tooth gears part # 23461-118-305 looks the same but has four locking lugs where mine has two. I thinking it would work but woundering if 2nd gear is made different where the lugs make there connection with 3rd? Let me know you have a two lug gear or have any knowledge on this,....thanks

I don't have any knowledge on that.
I'll do some checking when I'm able. Is it original to the HK1?
I know the SL70s had some kind of a problem with the early transmissions...there was a...update kit, or something available back in the day. So you have to be careful about swapping gears around between SLs.

Yes I have heard that as well on the early sl70’s but never paid much attention being most of the motors I’ve built didn’t need any gear changes... I did look closely at a xl70 complete trans gear set on eBay and it had the 4 lug 3rd an 4 lug 2nd together so I’m thinking they would work together..as long as they fit together an lock I don’t see why it wouldn’t work?

I would THINK so too. Maybe look to see if there is any difference in the shape or look of the gear teeth that mesh into the 3rd gear on the main shaft...those teeth have to WORK together too.
