Zanella is a motorcycle manufacturer in Argentina that's been around since 1948. I found out about the brand when I went to Argentina a couple of years ago. I went on their website and low and behold there's a CT70 lookalike. It looks like it has HK0 style speedo/headlight assembly and taillights but HK1 muffler and an updated shock setup. Check it out!

That is really cool, I was checking out the website. It am interested if it is higher quality parts built in Argentina, or just imported pieces from China or other places. What do you think?

I think China. I have a clone and it is exactly the same down to the screws. That said they get a bad rap. I replaced the rear wheel assembly, chain, swing arm bolt, and have spent many hours replacing lots of stuff on it with genuine Honda parts. I replaced the motor with a Honda stroker build that I converted to 12 volts. The end result is a very dependable clone that looks a lot like the real CT70 but with a 5.2 liter gas tank. In stock form they need help.

It's identical to my Chinese clone as well. They're really not that bad. I put 1200km on mine this summer, but I'm going to switch out the swing arm this winter with a Honda part. Really sloppy back there.

It looks very very much like my 88 ST50, which I love. So I always kinda like the thought of having one. I would love my dax even more if it had that big ass tank in it.

I think Deoodles has it right. Buy it and ride the dog out of it. Then as parts go to hell, replace them with Honda stuff.

image.jpgMy clone was like that as well ,but the previous owner broke the upper handlebar mount off of the bike so he installed a kx65 front end on it .It is a wheelie machine with the goofy front end ,and today I started it up and rode to the store in -12c weather first kick with no choke , and a foot of snow from last night .Pretty fun bike for no cash .

That's a nice looking bike. The clones of yesteryear always looked a little bit off and kinda easy to spot. This one, not so much.

I like the black stripe, the lower front fender and mudflap, and luggage rack. Looks like a comfy seat and nice bars. If I am ever in Argentina I will try and find one and get a couple pictures on it.
