1971 Z50 Gas Tank Needed

Hi Group,
I'm in need of a gas tank for a '71 Z50 restoration and was wondering if anyone has experience with the aftermarket tanks that pop up on Ebay . How is the quality and mounting points.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated

It might depend on the particular tank...but most of them have a obviously taller filler neck. The badge recesses look too shallow to me too. They are different on the underside. Make sure that a Honda cap will work...if that matters to you. And...I hear that the metal is very wavy and takes a lot of bodywork to smooth out for a nice paint job.

I've seen some on eBay that I thought looked pretty decent.
I've never seen one of the repops first hand tho.
My thought is...if you're going to run it right out of the box. It's a good buy.
If you plan to doctor it, paint it, and put it on a very nice, or restored bike...put the money and effort into a original.

BTW-2, I'm partial to genuine parts.

Whats your goal with the bike?
