CT70 VIN Clarification

Original K0 battery box change came at VIN #233054 in December 1970. The rubber bumpers went away and the plastic sleeve was used. This was also used on the K1,K2. The 1974 K3 battery box changed along with the added turn signals etc.

Original K0 "short neck" AT7B carburetor had three versions. The first change came at VIN #242074 in January 1971 and then changed again at VIN#270640 in May/June 1971. I believe the second change was the "tall neck". The tall neck required the taller slide, the shorter cap and the longer cable. I have only seen one of the late K0 carbs. As you can see in the photo, the neck of the K1 carb on the right is taller. The slide is taller and the cap is shorter compared to the K0 carb on the left. This is true for the 594A K1 4 speed and the 533A 3 speed carbs which were used through 1977.

My carb is the tall one with tall cap! I will look for the short cap!
Since I ordered a cable set for the whole bike, can someone tell me what the dimension of the cable I need is? I will compare it to my new one! The old one is long gone!

If it is a exact match it's worth ALOT of money. Let's see the match...
I know this is an old thread but I am in the same boat as the original poster
Black tag. 6 digit vin starts with 2. Tag and frame match engine is one digit off from matching.
