thanks to all the help from this forum i was able to successfully build my 108 stroker motor. but now that its together and running. cant get clutch to disengage?? cant really ride bike yet. waiting on new back ordered exhaust to come in. being rather anxious i have been starting bike with out exhaust. bike fires right up 1 kick. as soon as i click in gear it engages trans with clutch in. i have made adjustments per the manual?i did install a new t/b heavy duty clutch pack in the stock clutch hub. installed 4 new discs with factory steel plates and all new springs. seemed a little tight going back together? notified t/b and they told me install all plates? what am i doing wrong?pre soaked plates in non detergent oil. also running n/d oil for break in

I had the exact same thing happen to me with my 108. I tried and tried to adjust, disassembled twice but never could figure it out. I'm running SL70 bottom end, but pretty sure that's not the sure. Had same issues with fitment in clutch pack, I've read about people using this setup with success. I finally just rebuilt the pack using HK1 disc setup with heavy clutch springs and works fine that way. I too would like to hear input on this.

I have used the tb kit in a couple manual clutches, and they work well. I'd think maybe something is wrong with the assembley. Maybe open the clutch back up and restack everything making triple sure it's all correct.
On the way in, check to see if the small primary gear is properly meshed into the back side of the clutch.
Make sure nothing is missing or out of place on the face of the oil spinner/clutch cover. (The little "oil thru" part)

I'm thinking there is a problem INSIDE of the clutch. Make sure every part is in place. And make sure the discs can slide...together, and away from each other...sometimes the tb discs have burrs on the tabs that mesh into the clutch center, and the basket. Then they drag and can't slide in and out as they should.

I am pretty sure since I tried it a long time ago, that you cant use the HD TB clutch pack with the stock Honda clutch housing. You have to use it in the TB HD clutch. Not enough room. I would not recommend using the stock Honda clutch housing on a 108. Wont hold up. I have broken 2 of them in the past. The TB clutch is rated for up to a 108 engine. Works well.
