johnny, you can get a four wire off of fleabay. should be a green,white,yellow, red. yellow is what you will run your accessories like your lights, green is ground and red is charging your battery( from your battery ) white is like a auxillary power source.

I would first check your gap at the points first . double check your cam timing . check your spark plug. and then I would make sure that you have a real good ground. even if you run a ground wire from under one of the bolts holding the coil. and run the other directly to the engine.

I disagree, but to each his own, put the electronics, fuel tank, and then with the engine sitting there, just lower the frame down onto it. put your bolts through and then the swingarm, front end assembly and everything else and leave the wheels and kickstand for last. IMO

check your cam timing, the reason I say that is that when you changed the gap on the points, its basically the same.
