sounds like the lighting coils are shorting... up's the current and blows out the lamps. I have repaired several Honda stators with rewinding the coils with new wire. I think the primary on my boy's 50 just went out.... no spark.

Yea...both 70's did not run well with the "pods". I did mess with the jetting without great results. As soon as I re-installed the stock air box, the issue was resolved. Now if I had a better sellection of jets, maybe I could have done better with it. So, I may just look in to the seat...

Good stuff... looks like I'll nix the after market pipe... I've seen OEM for like $92. No heat sheilds, but I'm sure that I must have one around somewhere. But really don't need any power loss. I did see a "thumper" pipe....but that was more than the OEM. I'd love to toss the stock air box...

Well.... has anyone tried the pipe offered by Trail Buddy..... $72. this may be perfect for my pit bike. and need lessions learned on seats, any that just bolt on? and yea...this weekend the '73 will be cruzin the pits, always get tons of looks! tootles... moto.

Ok... it's time to get my red CT70 up and rolling. I have a real nice '73, but want to get the "other" one ready for the new season of racing and trail maintaince. It runs real well, but is not a show piece. I don't need to be super "correct" with it. So... what I need is a seat...air box...
