1969 Z50 Carb and throttle problem

So I rebuilt the carb on my 69 Z50 and installed a new throttle cable(both the kit and the cable came from DRATV).

We could never get the throttle assembly together right with the new cable. But the bike runs like a champ at and only at full throttle. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi There
Assuming the cable is correct and the spring on the valve is OK... Unscrew the throttle assemble at the carb and remove. Use a flash light and look into the carb...near the bottom and on the side you should see a key...make sure the small slot on the throttle valve is lined up with the key. The valve can only fit in one way. Best of luck!
