Does it have a title and current street registration? How does it run? Where are you located? The answers to all thos question effect the sale price. It's hard to estimate a fair price with out further information.

I dont know if it has a title. Im located in Ohio. It runs and shift good. With the little info given and saying worse case senerio it doesnt have a title and say it has a decent amount of miles, whats an estimated price for it...$1,000?

I'm no expert but have been watching these things for the past year or so.
Assuming the following:

Its original +
Its not bent in some way that the photo doesnt show (handlebars and front fender are notorious) +
The paint, chrome and decals look as good in person as it does in the pic (Can you just clean it, polish it and go or does it need new paint?) +
The engine starts, runs, shifts and doesnt leak or smoke. +
Lights, horn works +
Brakes work +
Tires hold air - doesnt really matter you will want to replace them anyway if they are original and you actually want to ride the thing.
If all the above are true and you dont have a CT and you really want one and you can get that bike for $1000 I would buy it if I were you.
Like hornetgod says its impossible to tell from a single picture but it looks pretty nice.
If the engine is high miles then you may be looking at another 5-800 for a rebuild by someone qualified in the near future.
You can rehab the seat with new foam if its crumbly and a new cover. Check the metal seatpan to see if its cracked. (lift the seat up and look at the bottom) If its cracked you can still rehab it but its a lot more work.
Also as hornetgod says . . . if your dream is to drive it to work or the store and its not titled and plated, then you may have a huge hill to climb.
So anyway theres some stuff to consider. Buyer beware . . . its a 40 year old minibike.

Thanks for the help/tips. the bike has 2,200 miles on it and no title...just found out. Anyways its not something i would be on the road with...possibly just fix up a little

If its original, like most vehicles, the more original you keep it, the better it will retain value if you decide to trade it in on a different toy one day.
Good luck

I have really seen Trail 70 prices drop over the past couple years. Two to three years ago I would have expected this motorcycle to sell for $1,100 to $1,300. Today, I bet you could buy it for $700 to $900. The 4 speed hand clutch HKO and HK1 models are highly sought after. If it had a title and current street registration, it could fetch $100 to $200 more on top of that. All three of the ones I own are street legal and do get ridden regularly.

It must be nice to live in a state that will accept a bill of sale, unfortunetly the State of South Carolina requires a title so it makes it a little more difficult in my search to find one.

I must say that living in Ohio is nice considering how many people have these things for sale around the Michigan area. A 7-8 hour round trip isnt so bad when you come to think of it.
