EXPIRED 1972 CT70 Trade for Dirt Bike Oklahoma [SOLD]

I have a very nice 1972 CT70 that I would like to trade for a semi-modern dirt bike. I need something 250cc or larger of equal value to the CT70. My son is 9 years old and has a Yamaha 80. I want to start riding with him. I am 47 and raced MX back in the day. I'll probably break a hip.

<O:p</O:pThe bike is root beer color. (don't know if that is the official name) It is all original except for the back tire. It has 2,522 miles. The paint is bright with minimal paint nicks and the graphics are crisp and bright. The speedometer needle sticks sometimes. There is a small tear on the seat cover. Nothing serious. I ride the bike often around our 2 acre yard. It runs great but I think could use a carb rebuild. The one area that needs attention is the kick starter. It is welded to the shaft and the foot swivel is welded in place on the upright, (in the open position). I guess the original owner stripped it out and/or broke the swivel foot peg. I have pictures to show what I am talking about. I took it to a local cycle guy that works on small 4-stroke Hondas and he said it is a fairly easy repair to grind the plug weld off and then he does some trick to keep the new kick starter from slipping on the shaft....had to do with a roll pin.

I have a title to the bike but it is a salvage title? Don't know why? I bought this bike from the original owner about 20 years ago. I also have the original manual and safety book.

If I can't find a local trade I may sell. <O:p</O:p

I don't know how to post a picture but I can e-mail pictures to you if you give me your e-mail address. dave.geer@sulzer.com You can also call me to discuss. 918-691-9155<O:p</O:p

I'm pretty open for the trade but it has to be in good condition....no projects. An old Bultaco would be nice. Even a trials bike. Dual purpose 4 stroke. Let me know what you have.
