Wanting to understand what engine serial number would go with this frame. I'm not finding a lot of information on the ST70. I bought a bunch of ST70 parts and this ST70 4 speed engine came with it. The side plate has ST70E-424274. It's missing the "H" I'd see on a CT70H bike. Thank you

Think the ST70 world is one only truly understood across the pond. I have 4 early Dax/ST70’s with removable front ends and engine number are miles apart. Example would be engine # 102294 and frame# 513507, they’re all like that. I know a 4-speed would be a newer model. Not much info on them, used to be an St70 website but can’t recall what it was called.

Thank you CLEC66, are any of the Dax/ST70's you own 4 speed bikes and if yes, do they have the H in the serial number? ST70H-513507. I tried a forum and it is closed now due to spammers. Joined a forum on FB. We'll see if I can get some information there. Thank you

All mine are 3-speed. You would think 4-speeds would have an H in the vin like US bikes but it’s different world over there. My engine vin looks like a chrome plate. All mine have NO head tag just number by chain guard.
